California was already one, but this is another large scale litmus test with three logical outcomes on a national level. The policies work, and enough people get behind them elsewhere to win back over the folks it lost where it matters, even after losing some of the same people because of some of these types of policies. The policies work, but you fail to move anyone beyond the already dem stronghold of the coastal elites, and we are sitting where we are now still. Or the policies California up another high profile area, and it pushes even more folks to reject them and the gap widens.

i think free buses is a terrible idea. that is NOT gonna improve the experience of riding the bus :dead:

Free buses are actually a great idea. They were free most of 2020 and it was actually a great experience.

And if you want to ease up traffic, it's things like that that make it easier to leave the car at home.

Mamdani's victory and we also need to talk about Ras Baraka doing as well as he did in the Democratic primary for governor even in a loss is giving the blue print for the Democratic party. No more 65-70 year old moderates and line holders. He actually sat down and met people where they were at, he actually went to the 9-5ers and genuinely addressed their concerns.

A lot of these people don't live in NY metro and realize how big an expense getting around NY on a day to day basis is.

Can't play the antisemitism card anymore :umad:

Mamdani won heavy Jewish districts in the most Jewish city in America running an Anti-Zionist campaign :umad:

GuQdGinWgAAFlw9

AIPAC lawst :banderas:

Those are not heavy Jewish districts.

Cuomo won heavy Jewish districts by 80 percent and up.

Momdani had a hell of a grassroots outreach. In districts that Momdani won, the turnout was high and the votes were 3:1 in his favor. In cuomos districts, the numbers were low and were maybe 2:1 at best.

I'll be waiting to see how this works out for the black people still living here in NYC.
