The problem isn't shytting on the rich. It's not following through with taxing the hell out of them. After promising to do so for years.

They tried being Republican light and cozying up to their rich. And all it got them was losing Elections to Trump twice.

Biden tried increasing the Corp tax rate but didn't go far enough. He only raised taxes to pay for that horrid infrastructure bill.

Plus when your whole platform is "tax the rich" what exactly are you communicating to your people in terms of education and career and upward mobility?

If no one is "rich" then what exactly is the incentive to start a business, pursue school, a career, etc.?

And if you do allow "rich" then what is the baseline and what are the limits?

These are the things Champagne Socialists and Trustafarians don't really consider because it requires a little more thought than "Everyone should have [thing/service]"
