Not surprised. One look at the movingtoNYC subreddit and its clear who is causing the problem. Its these stupid ass financially illiterate transplant gentrifiers.
The second post really had me heated on some "please rob this motherfukker" shyt. What I want to know is are these guys AWARE of what they are doing? These are the idiots increasing the cost of rent with their financially stupid asses. They always want to move to the same neighborhoods too as if its a MUST they have to live there.

Exactly, thats what that bullshyt is. Insecure people practicing classism. They are going into these cities, moving to specific neighborhoods, and doing a new form of classism. They are intentionally turning neighborhoods like Bushwick and Bed Stuy into a mirror of the yuppie ass burbs they are choosing to running away because they are bored so theyre doing the same bullshyt just with a change of scenery. Thats why they support certain things like certain stores (the coffee house, the yoga studio, the classy restaurant that was opened up by somebody from the burbs that just moved into said neighborhood, the dog park), hang around certain people (yuppies, hipsters) and etc like they are following guidelines of how to be in a certain class. They would fit right into any yuppie burbs like they never left. They dont support the community because they never did that even where they moved from. shyt is basically some programming bullshyt for insecure people and no surprise, that shyt kills the vibe. These folks have too much shyt to distract themselves with so that they dont have to look within.
Another example of a transplant/gentrifer supporting another transplant/gentrifer instead of the general community. Most people do not have the money to spend on shyt like this. Imagine moving into Bushwick to do bullshyt like this because of boredom.
The same goofies that voted for mamdani talking about socialism while doing this shyt for a private chef whos probably charging out the ass for her services.
