It really is a cool city, most the transplants show mad love but they know better
. It's so funny seeing all the hate on this forum. I know it's mostly jokes but the NY L is the funniest thing to me. We takes Ls but we give out MANY!! I love my city (and hate it at the same time) just like I have love for everyone else that looks like me/has a positive mind but the hate is just 
on so many levels (but if you're not getting hated on, you're doing something wrong). Dudes know that the coolest people they meet are from NYC .we got our lames (I'm kinda lame, a cool lame tho 
) too just like every other city but we go hard. Dudes that people meet don't even be from NYC or didn't grow up here

I strongly disagree with OP. The city used to be goat but not anymore. It's overrun by pretentious culture vulture hipsters. Real estate is overpriced to the point where even some rich people are moving out. As a black person it's impossible to live here since the cops will aggressively, and repeatedly harass you as soon as you step foot outside your house.

Wanted to live in NY ever since I saw Home Alone 2 as a kid.
Toronto is a upgraded better non dusty version of Ny. Chicago is almost NY but less dirty as well. No city fellates itself quite as hard as NY does I'll give it that. NY really is just as dated as its hiphop
