NYC is obviously replacing benches for leaning bars to control homeless people. Do you like them?

Should’ve installed stools with separators or rolled benches for people to sit on….

It’s better than making it a felony to homeless like it some other states

No its not. Now law abiding citizens gotta be uncomfortable waiting on the damn bus. These Mother fukkers inconvenience 99% of the population cause of a few rotten apples.

As much as I've taken the bus for 30 years I don't remember homeless people sleeping at the bus stop benches. I usually see regular people sitting down, typically older folks. These just looks uncomfortable.
you're lucky you even have benches in the outer boroughs. Dudes will lean on the pole or on the buildings by the stop.

No expert but homelessness seems more like an addiction/mental health issue than an affordable housing issue
Health care industrial complex is so fukked up in this country it's too hard to get these people consistent free help
In NYC it's a mixture of both

A lot of the homeless in NYC used to be upstate but when the institutions closed down a lot of them cats hoped on a Greyhound and came down here and they been here ever since....Covid actually made it even worse
