Naw NYC ain’t worth living in. Just Duane readers on every corner and hipster cacs
Dumbass :gucci:..Walgreens just took over Duane Reade and grabbed a huge foothold in New York.
On April 9, 2010, Duane Reade was acquired by the Walgreen Company for $1.075 billion
Walgreen to Buy Duane Reade for $1.1 Billion
and hipsters have not "taken over".
Oh look, you're from L.A. ...3 hr time difference, and 7 yrs too late with your retort- always behind the times, as per usual. Keep up.
:comeon:

You lost reserving a room at a Motel 6 and deciding to stay in SeaofCaucazoids, NJ

Lol not me, I was talking about dude, I live here. That's what out of towners do when they can't afford a hotel in the city.

I'm sure NYC has a lot of positive qualities. I used to dream about living there when I was younger. The night life, jobs everywhere, the culture of the streets all appealed to me when I was younger.
What kinda "jobs" are we talking? :patrice:
Most NYers i know worked these shytty jobs up there and have some sort of side hustle to compensate the income. But most , at best they have some city or "union" job that they can take a shyt on the floor and couldnt get fired.
To me it's like this. I looked at the pros and cons of moving there once and i just couldnt do it.

Pros of living in NYC
  • Greatest Variety in Cultures within the US
  • I'm a night owl so i would fit right in with wondering around late nights since many places stay open late
  • New York Women have always shown me mad love. Have a couple of long-time jumpoffs up there. When i'd be there for work i'd rotate them in and out my hotel room paid for by the company
Cons
  • Cold as fukk up there.
  • Overcrowded. People live on top of each other like freakin rats. Every freakin townhouse you see is split into damn near 3 if not 4 separate apartments. And each mofo renting those apartments are likely living with a roommate.
  • It's cold as fukk there.
  • Many other cities are catching up in terms of cultural diversity
  • Depending on what city you're in there's plenty of night-life that rivals that of NYC, now.
  • It's cold as fukk there.
  • I hear it smells but i never personally noticed it. Just thought it was dirty.
  • Having to deal with New Yorkers...New Yorkers tend to have this superiority/elitists complex about them. Many of them are cool ass people but the typical street NYer seems to feel like if you have a Southern accent, then his elementary or high-school level education is superior to your Masters Degree form elsewhere.
  • Cost of living is ridiculous
  • It's cold as fukk there.
Side note: One thing i admire about NYers is they are the ultimate hustlers and i mean that in a good way. They're gonna do what it takes to get that money. My main chick grew up in NY and she has a good job here but is always working some side-job or side-hustle. I highly respect that aspect of their culture.

A lake near Tampa FL
Can someone please explain why there are so many rats in New York? :lupe:

And them shyts are huge too sometimes. Is there something about the climate or terrain that does this? Or maybe the large population combined with huge network of below-ground infrastructure allows them to breed exponentially?

I remember one of the memories i have about visiting NY is driving through Brooklyn (i think Canarcee area) and as i was in the car waiting for my cousin i saw a couple of huge rats climbing the stairs to a townhouse across the street. This was in the middle of the day with dozens of people walking around and no-one even acknowledged it as if it's the norm.
Had me like :picard:
I know near my house which is close to downtown atlanta it's very common to come across deer. Just last night one was in my back yard. Hell wasnt it just 2 years ago there was a mama bear and her cubs running around Marietta? But I can honestly say in my 14 years in Atlanta i dont recall ever seeing a rat. Possums, squirrels and rac00ns, yes. Rats? Never.
Rats breed regularly and there's a lot of food for them...

A group of Rats can grow from 2 to 15,000 in a year :damn:

The city leaves Rat poison but that kinda backfired cause Birds of Prey kept eating poisoned Rats and ended up dying themselves.

Fixed it. :coffee:
I mean.. if we're gonna go there it's well know that there are far more gays in NY than Atlanta :manny:
And from what my homie who lives in BK tells me they are very powerful up there and been like that for decades even before this new-age tolerance of gays that took off in the late 90s.
Atlanta's gay movement is mostly noticeable because it's new and emerging and it's mostly in the black community. But we know damn well aint noone touching NYC level gayness. I hear your gay-pride parade is world class level attraction

Yeah but a rat is a rat is a rat. How come it's not overwhelming in other cities as it in NY. I read that ATL supposedly has a rat problem but i have yet to see it for myself.

Nah b, :stopitslime:
Don't know anything about that gay shyt - that's not part of my culture. Far more diverse and intellectual topics to discuss when it comes to ny. Anyone that I know doesn't sit around and have discussions about gay-ness and the gay emergence. You seem to know a lot more about that than I care to know
:scust::hubie: Other than that - this is obligatory on your part-

Of course you dont. :smugdraper:
You're in a defensive position right now. But indeed the "great variety of culture" that NYC brings comes with a large side of gayness from what I hear.

Not sure where wikipedia gets it's stats but they seem to agree that NY is #1

That says Atlanta is 4.3%, meaning that you just proved that your city has the next to highest gay population, fuk a wikipedia ranking spot. That's twice the number of gays as NY. But the fact that you actually took the time to type in and google gay percentage rates, you lost already.:stopitslime: :hhh:
No serve on my side, the ball seems to be in your court. :dame:
