This is going to be very unpopular here but I’m going to tell you guys anyway:

Joey Gallo is not this bad. He’s never going to be a .300 hitter but he’s also probably not a .621 OPS guy either.

Now I’d probably agree that he’s got “old man skills” as a baseball player and he’s probably on his way out of the league. But I would not be surprised at all if next year he’s an 800-850 OPS player.

Sure but his services on this team is no longer required after acquiring Benentendi.

Probably not as a full time player. And the likelihood is that he gets cut.

I just want to caution people who think Gallo is a scrub. The man hits the ball extremely hard and to some degree he’s been unlucky.

It’s more likely to me that Gallo bounces back with a good year than it is that say…Bellinger bounces back. Though actually, they’re probably a bit more similar than even I’d admit.

The first month and change he was definitely unlucky but lately that has not been the case.

Breh is a walking strikeout nowadays.

You’d think the one day the Yankees would rock shyt out would be the day that Cole is pitching.

Knowing the Yankees they’d lose tonight and win the next two with Cortes and Montgomery going.
