Volpe ain't ready yet. Peraza on the other hand they might as well bring up and see if he helps light a fire in the team. Meanwhile it's "be patient. This elite defensive outfielder who can't hit is gonna hit is gonna save y'all."Should of got Castillo but nooooo
Like why keep Pereza and Volpe if you not going to call one of them up already?
1. there was no reason for it. The staff itself wasn't good enough to afford to get rid of him. You can blame the rest of the rotation (especially Cole and Taillon).I personally couldn’t stand watching Montgomery bum ass pitch but I wonder if that trade lead to clubhouse morale lowering or something. Wouldn’t surprise me!

2. this team is super fragile. At least with Montgomery he almost never gave you the kind of start Montas gave us today.
3. if this was to set up another trade that fell apart, it's just sloppy.
4. it feels like they made a trade that woulda been there during the winter time. Let's be real, Bader's not helping the team this year. This is a 2023 trade when they haven't won shyt yet in 2022.
If the clubhouse was that demoralized, who's leading the clubhouse? Didn't they trade for a 3B making $25 mil a year to help out with that? Aren't their stars supposed to be contributing to that? While the clubhouse probably sucks, it's a cop out. They've been wack since the end of June. Gumby has only been a Cardinal for 5 days. If they wanna be glum over Gallo, then one of y'all shoulda helped him in the batting cage.
If the idea was that Kim Ng wanted Gleyber (for argument's sake we'll say she did)Yeah, trading a starter who goes out every 5 days consistently for a guy whose injured at the moment it’s so short sighted. shyt was dumb, especially if you weren’t going to shop for another starter. Very inept!
If the idea was that Kim Ng wanted Gleyber (for argument's sake we'll say she did)
then they need to really have already figured out where Gleyber stands with this team now and in the future the same way they did with Gary. They were ready to roll with Higashioka and a "power bat" that had 6 home runs in his minor league career just cuz they were finally done with Gary. Why couldn't this team be ready to move on with DJ, Carpenter, IKF (since he's so damn versatile) and MAYBE Peraza just to wash themselves off future Gleyber disappointment AND add another big time pitcher?
EDIT: as Gleyber fails with the bases loaded.
That legit pissed me off.LMAO at the Heaney graphic
