Only thing I fear is, because that cop died, will they somehow charge that brother with the cop's death? What's the law in NYC on indirect homicides in the course of a robbery? Anybody know? Some states you do a robbery and your partner somehow gets killed they charge you with homicide too even though you didn't kill anyone.

This is a textbook example of felony murder. Somebody was killed as the result of the dude committing a felony(robbery of the store). The fact that he had a toy gun is meaningless. The fact that he didn’t actually kill the cop is meaningless. If he survives he will never see the light of day again.

You KNOW nypd was hot when they found it was a toy gun. Can't even say the suspect shot him. Gotta eat that
