Police officers being outside the scope of the law while being empowered to "enforce" it still bugs me out. He committed murder and should be put in prison. The same as any other citizen in this country.

But hey, walk around with a gun drawn in a residential neighborhood and claim accidental death as long as the victim is the right color. If this happened in Park Slope or Williamsburg Liang woulda got fired and they'd be trying to freeze his bank account right now.

Lol. I don't mean take away cops guns period. I mean have armed response units like they do in the uk. Making it impossible for the cop to even draw without knowing for sure that the suspect had a weapon.

Fact is the reason america has more gun crime is because of lax gun laws. People who are pro second amendment rights will have you believe that criminals are somehow importing guns into the united states. Fact is most of the guns on the street were legal guns that were attained through straw purchases. If they ban guns americas gun crime rate will probably match the uks in less than 25 years.
