You'd give yourself a chance to live if a cop is intent on fukking you up. They can take our lives by simply being startled. The NOI can't be with you every second of every day

Taking your chance in court after legally defending yourself> being murdered, put on a T-shirt with Al Sharpton speaking on your behalf until you're swept under the rug with no justice

I would never live in a place where I didn't have the right to an registered weapon. I don't carry either one of mine, but I start to consider it day by day.

I'd risk my freedom before I'd leave my life in the hands of racist, prejudice, overzealous cops :yeshrug:

Get your ass a Black Moor lawyer, bust your guns, and pray for the best. Besides, if you kill a cop out of self defense, the chances of you living and seeing a trial is very slim.

Out here in my damn drawls

I'd hope that merely having one, registered, in plain view, holstered on my hip would act as a deterent to disrespectful behavior from a civil servant who gets paid off of my taxes :birdman:

You got to remember that, by and large, alot of these cops are cowards with badges. They will avoid confrontation if they don't have the upper hand

I don't ever wanna have to kill or shoot anybody (it's why I don't carry), I just wish the police would have the same sense but, apparently, that's not the case when it comes to black people

It says alot that we even have to consider packing to get respect and courtesy. I ain't tryna walk around like some paranoid, scaredy ass, old cac but :manny:

The natural right to defend yourself exists without the politics :yeshrug:

people forget that...black folks consider the rules/laws of the state before personal safety...this is a result of black people being the primary targets of law enforcement...we preach to our kids to abide by the law not realizing we are comprised by following certain rules/laws...we are weakened by the belief that following these rules/laws is the only choice we have...

Nah, first and foremost,be a good person and learn to respect others. Whether a law exist for that or not. Second, more black folk should revise their Constitutional Rights and mindfukk these CACs, like the Black Panthers. Third, Organize with pro-black groups and institutions, because cops are less likely to go against a member of an institution that is about change and action (cause when was the last time you hear a NOI member get in a scuffle with the cops? exactly). Lastly, get your ass a good lawyer that helped a lot of people that you know personally in the past.

Will people riot in NY?

Nope.. NY is civilized.. Eric Garner killed, Sean Bell Killed and now Akai Gurley. People up there just let the judicial system do its job.. The only people protesting and rioting for Mike Brown are a bunch of ignorant nikkas with nothing else better to do. They act like Mike Brown was MLK or something.

Even though the guy was thug to the 10th power, he was murdered during his non-thuggish moments. But the cop will walk because a guy who has been arrested 24 times before he was even 30 can easily be painted as a potential threat.

[high pitched cac] he deserved it, just another thug off the street [/high pitched cac]

Well he was a thug, but his behavior didn't contribute to his death in this instance. As I always say, Black men accuse Black women of wanting thugs, while whites accuse Black men of being thugs so there's enough stereotyping to go around.

If the lives of police officers' began being taken every time something like this happened, then things like this wouldn't happen to us anymore, or at least not as much.

It's just that simple. It may be harsh, but it's our REALITY.

Take the Mike Brown tragedy for instance.

After the first week or so of law enforcement dragging their feet about arresting officer Darren Wilson it should've been BANG!, bye bye to him as he exits the donut shop. :demonic:

Unarmed man shot in Brooklyn and the officer gets off with no legal punishment?
Well, a month later that officer should go home to find his wife decapitated. :manny:

John Crawford's killers(police), who shot him while he held a bb gun in Walmart, should all be in fear of their and their family's lives right now.

But nope. Nothing ever happens to these officers. They don't respect us because they don't fear us.

Police officers should actually live in cold fear of one day mistakingly shooting a Black person, all because of what may then happen to them if they aren't convicted.

And if they did shoot an unarmed Black person, and if they did get off without being convicted at all for it, then they should expect nothing less than their Black-cop coworkers(although they'd be unable to prove it was the Black cops hehe) to leak all of their personal info to the proper parties within the Black community-for our own justice/retaliation purposes.

And this isn't some farfetched idea.

We may not outnumber whites, but we have enough Blacks who live next to these cops within in the very same neighborhoods;
we have enough Blacks who are military trained, enough Blacks who are police officers, lawyers, judges;
we have enough of everything we'd need for this type of self-policing/self preservation and self-seeking of Black justice, to be a reality. Almost effortless, even.

If the police had to worry about retaliation whenever one of their officers killed one of us for no reason, then I guarantee we wouldn't be being used as live target practice in 2014.

But they dont, so we are.

This sounds all well and good but the Black community would have to be united for anything like this to ever happen. With the community being so fragmented with no real male leaders within the communities that take an active role in ensuring its protection it is no surprise that we are looked at as nonthreatening.

Tried to talk to my girl about this and all she cares about is some damn Hunger Games tonight. :snoop:
Dump her now. That woman is not on your team. She will have your ass locked up with a quickness.

For the record, me and my girl watched Shot97's STOP THE POLICE last night. That's how you know you got a girl that's on your team.

Some cacs are already at it, talking about how he was arrested 24 times, the cop did a favor to society, etc etc, a lot of explicitly racist shyt.

The worst part is that the source for that 24 arrests claim is the original NYPost article (which just said it came from "sources"). But if you look at that article now, THERE'S NO SUCH STATEMENT. It's been removed. I did some research and he was indeed convicted once for one charge of selling drugs. But I don't see anything else
