QUEENS NY
Again the brother was arrested in Fresh Meadows Queens. She was killed in Howard beach. As a person that not only lives in Fresh meadows, but literally can see the 107th from my apartment ( its across the street), no way he walked to that crime scene everyday. Its impossible, to walk passed fresh meadows, to Jamaica avenue, to ozone park. Its not happening. That's at least a hour bus ride per trip.

This is BS.
He's from east ny and it sounds like it was the 106th prescient that made the arrest which is ozone park, Howard beach, Richmond Hill, that all right next to east ny. Sounds like he was just being held at the 107

Police recovered the murderer’s DNA from Vetrano’s body and cell phone

His residence and location of his arrest are irrelevant ...it seems like most of you are fans of forensics when it clears innocent Black men doing 20 years for shyt they didnt do but throw it all out for this guy.

Ask yourself why the fukk would a guilty man submit to that?

That's beyond stupid especially when the cops announced months ago they had a DNA profile...

The NYPD are good ol choirboys, they would never plant evidence and coerce a false confession...:comeon:

This dude don't quit :snoop:
:childplease: i never said i was convinced either way. of course these fukkin pigs could be framing this dude, theyre itching to solve this. and he also could have committed the crime
again not saying that its legit or not but homie did "confess." I gotta suspect it will be incredibly tough to walk this back now that they got "DNA" evidence + a confession from a black "brute"
sons goose is pretty cooked at this point

i dont know enough details to speak on it. i just cant rule out either way with the circumstances

The more I read into this thing the more it stinks of special needs child (he's 20 but has the mind of a child) being taken advantage of by detectives under pressure to close a case...

-He graduated last year from a private HS for children experiencing emotional and behavioral problems

-Has no criminal record

-Sister and father are adamant he is being framed

-They had no warrant for DNA, he willingly complied with them

-The DNA match they supposedly have on him are cells retrieved from under the victims nails

-He Allegedly confessed to beating her but denied raping her

This is what he confessed to...
"I was angry. I had some issues at home. I just lost it. When I saw her, I just hit her and kept hitting her. I hit her and choked her."

A random act of violence which does make sense for an individual who has emotional and behavioral problems but why would he confess to beating and choking her but not raping her?

They were saying for months she was raped so who raped her?

Some random dude came by saw the body in the marsh and decided to get his necrophilia on? :comeon:

:francis: Your planting theory doesnt stand scrutiny bruh....heres why
They found the body last year and got the forensics done then......so they had the suspect profile in advance which turned out to match this guy

for them to "frame him" they would have had to know they would be arresting him for the murder in the future and taken a sample from him to plant before the body was found and BTW medical examiners are not easy to fool they can identify the various cells and tissue they find to analyse for DNA samples...hair,epithelial,semen,blood,subcutaneous,mucosal and so on

so if you plant the wrong kind of tissue someone will notice...your theory assumes the cops caught this guy and scratched him 6+ months ago so they could set him up :usure: really??

First off I never offered a theory...

I'm suspicious of the evidence because I'm a black New Yorker and have seen this story before...The NYPD has a deep history of planting and tampering with evidence to get convictions...

That's not a theory, its a FACT...

Your argument that a DNA profile cannot be tampered with is on some alternative facts shyt...It wouldn't take much to tamper and manipulate the sample they collected from the victims nails, we're talking about skin cells sitting in a lab tube multiple detectives have access to...All you need is a q tip with that kids cells on it...

DNA Evidence Can Be Fabricated, Scientists Show

Scientists in Israel have demonstrated that it is possible to fabricate DNA evidence, undermining the credibility of what has been considered the gold standard of proof in criminal cases.

The scientists fabricated blood and saliva samples containing DNA from a person other than the donor of the blood and saliva. They also showed that if they had access to a DNA profile in a database, they could construct a sample of DNA to match that profile without obtaining any tissue from that person.

“You can just engineer a crime scene,” said Dan Frumkin, lead author of the paper, which has been published online by the journal Forensic Science International: Genetics. “Any biology undergraduate could perform this.”

Dr. Frumkin is a founder of Nucleix, a company based in Tel Aviv that has developed a test to distinguish real DNA samples from fake ones that it hopes to sell to forensics laboratories.

The planting of fabricated DNA evidence at a crime scene is only one implication of the findings. A potential invasion of personal privacy is another.

Using some of the same techniques, it may be possible to scavenge anyone’s DNA from a discarded drinking cup or cigarette butt and turn it into a saliva sample that could be submitted to a genetic testing company that measures ancestry or the risk of getting various diseases. Celebrities might have to fear “genetic paparazzi,” said Gail H. Javitt of the Genetics and Public Policy Center at Johns Hopkins University.

Tania Simoncelli, science adviser to the American Civil Liberties Union, said the findings were worrisome.

“DNA is a lot easier to plant at a crime scene than fingerprints,” she said. “We’re creating a criminal justice system that is increasingly relying on this technology.”

John M. Butler, leader of the human identity testing project at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, said he was “impressed at how well they were able to fabricate the fake DNA profiles.” However, he added, “I think your average criminal wouldn’t be able to do something like that.”

The scientists fabricated DNA samples two ways. One required a real, if tiny, DNA sample, perhaps from a strand of hair or drinking cup. They amplified the tiny sample into a large quantity of DNA using a standard technique called whole genome amplification.

Of course, a drinking cup or piece of hair might itself be left at a crime scene to frame someone, but blood or saliva may be more believable.

The authors of the paper took blood from a woman and centrifuged it to remove the white cells, which contain DNA. To the remaining red cells they added DNA that had been amplified from a man’s hair.

Since red cells do not contain DNA, all of the genetic material in the blood sample was from the man. The authors sent it to a leading American forensics laboratory, which analyzed it as if it were a normal sample of a man’s blood.

The other technique relied on DNA profiles, stored in law enforcement databases as a series of numbers and letters corresponding to variations at 13 spots in a person’s genome.

From a pooled sample of many people’s DNA, the scientists cloned tiny DNA snippets representing the common variants at each spot, creating a library of such snippets. To prepare a DNA sample matching any profile, they just mixed the proper snippets together. They said that a library of 425 different DNA snippets would be enough to cover every conceivable profile.

Nucleix’s test to tell if a sample has been fabricated relies on the fact that amplified DNA — which would be used in either deception — is not methylated, meaning it lacks certain molecules that are attached to the DNA at specific points, usually to inactivate genes.
