The chandler amnesty argument you made was dumb . that's my point . The bulls can have the amnesty but what's the point when boozer gets to the last 2 years and they can trade him it becomes not so much of a asset . The Knicks used it got better so there is no argument to have kept it

It wasn't because it wasn't a risk free move and it killed the original plan of pursuing CP3 to pair up with STAT and Melo. Let's not pretend Tyson Chandler wasn't being called overpaid by people here and in general when they first signed him. He's turned out to live up to expectations, but that doesn't mean everyone figured he'd meet them.

If you think Amare's so bad that you'd pay him to go away, then possibly seeing him on a playoff contender is a risk you'd take. It's part of why amnestying Billups turned out not to be that big of a deal for the Knicks.

I don't think any of us said it was definitely not true, but here are some things to consider:

a) There is literally no evidence for any of the claims made in this from what I've seen other than a bunch of unnamed sources.

b) Why would a writer wait until months later to break this story? If a team in one of the biggest media markets in the world is shopping one of its three star players it's major news, isn't it?

The Knicks paid for his Lessons with the dream ? To trade him the article said Dolan vetoed that supposed Toronto trade so I'm sure he would veto any nickel for dollar trade we would get .

And people keep bringing up the chandler/amare- Howard deal , Was impossible we had just signed chandler we couldn't trade him in the offseason so that made no Sense.
