What media players should I try out for this shyt to work?

I'm guessing the PS3 blocks these shyts anyway, because I get a black screen when I got to play the movies, all of my shows are fine though.

Put me on to what media player I need to be using to watch movies. I've been using basic WMP and Divx so far. I'm new to the movie game though, put me on to how to get the sound to work nikkas

VLC should have you covered... if it won't play with that try Media Player Classic (not to be confused with Windows Media Player)... if it won't play with either of those  and you should cut your losses by transferring the file to the digital bushes....

Media Player Classic: http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/

:wtf: Why the fukk would you pay $5 a month to use a VPN with torrents, when you can use PeerBlock instead for free? If you're gonna pay for filesharing, pay for Usenet.

Can you stream at decent speeds with that PeerBlock?

I'm trying to find something where I can bypass all the gay ass blackouts I get on League Pass.

Ok, they're working on VLC

Don't have to convert anything either.

How are you guys getting movies to your TVs though? I use PS3Media Server for shows, but that's not working for these movies. I'm not really trying to have to hook up this laptop to my TV either.

I watch them on my PS3 via a flash drive or my external hard drive.

What format?

When I converted these mkvs to a compatible format like mpg or avi it lost the sound or didn't play at all on my PS3. Just got a black screen.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just tried them... and they work as is

:mindblown:

I'm sitting here doing all this shyt and converting these files and the PS3 plays these shyts fine already

You don't have to convert .mkv files to conpatible format. That takes too long and loses video & audio quality. You can just remux it to a convertible format using tsMuxer or mkv2vob.

That's what I was doing. I would convert the shows to mpg files with mkv2vob. I would only take a half a minute though. Wasn't long at all

I just found out a cool benefit to converting some of my stuff to mpegs..

I was just messing around with my Panny Plasma which is a Smart TV. It picks up PS3Media Server and it actually plays the files I converted. shyt had me like...

:ohhh:

Pretty neat. I haven't even messed with my TVs as media devices, but this is cool to know cause in case I move my PS3 out of the family room.

I'm currently using Astraweb, but I'm not happy with them (I'm getting a lot of files that are missing/DMCA'd, and slower speeds than when I first signed up).

Who should I go to for my service provider??

Just cop a wdtv live. It hooks up to your TV through HDMI and will play any format you throw at it.
