An album's dopeness is rated strictly on number of standout songs. that's it. not how cohesive or well-mixed or whatever bullshyt these guys wanna gymnast

OBFCL 2 made an impact. It sold well and generated attention. Raekwon had a little resurgence in the mainstream as a result of the album, popping up on tracks with Kanye the next year.

But I agree it doesn't have the highs that Stillmatic has. And I voted Stillmatic.

Stillmatic isn't a sequel. Cuban Linx is the better sequel, a true sequel if ever there was one in hip-hop, but Stillmatic is the better album. I dislike tracks on both. I think Cuban 2 starts strong, drags for a while, before finishing back off strong.

Fun fact: Nas was supposed to rap on "Broken Safety" instead of Styles P. Nas reneged on the arrangement because he was getting dragged by Kelis during the divorce process and got tied up by court events.
