The rest of us remember the President who reversed an economy in a freefall with pro middle class policies, created more new jobs than any admin ever, reformed our healtjcqre system, protected us from like 3 or 4 different viruses, and first set the stages for effective police reform.

Most white hard-core LIBERALS wouldn't even want us getting reparations. Obama could say "pay my nikkas what they owed" but that doesn't mean shyt outside of being a nice gesture. No one except a few folks in Congress (in mostly safe black districts) would vote for it and not a single Senator would even read a reparations bill.

Thats why i dont get why black folks up north and down south looking down on each other. Only difference i notice with down south is that theres actually pockets of black wealth and strong tight knit black communities where theres actually a chance to combat the oppression if folks were more organized. Up north, its not like that because the numbers arent there and the racism is more infrastructural where they really oppress folks. Sadly, most black populated areas in the northeast are usually poor and/or crime ridden. You could buy a home if youre black, its just not going to be in certain parts of town because the real estate agents and the government works hand and hand together. They openly do redlining though theyll post that "anti discrimination" paperwork.

Id rather deal with overt racism then covert.

I ALWAYS VOTE and I would never tell anyone not to vote or even encourage that type of thinking.

The point of my post was to bring light to in democracy there is always going to be compromise and some people think everything should be a zero sum game and that is not how politics work. You will never get 2/3 of people that you need to pass most stuff that matters to agree on everything that you want. That’s typically why stuff gets added or taken away from legislation and the final bill looks drastically different from the original one.

He's the President. The President has to be representative of law enforcement as well. He has to sign it unless there was something so outrageous that it couldn't be signed. Vetoing that bill is how you get a Trump type President for the next 12 to 16 years.
