That being said, why are we supposed to take your word over who’s a cac and who isn’t? You nikkas clearly just call anyone that disagrees with you a cac, without any proof at all. Anyone that says “fukk Dems and Republicans” is a cac to you.

Yeah, its a methodical process, which is why I say the country as a whole isnt ready yet and I salute people that think like me that are willing to run for any local office with dreams of making a major impact, because I sure havent done it. As a Marylander, Im incredibly disappointed a state as deep blue as this rejected Ben Jealous in favor of Hogan for governor. But I always know that lots of elder black folks are moderate democrats who like the "slow and steady progress...reach across the aisle" types. There is something to that approach in this country but its incredibly frustrating to voters that feel the wheels of change should be much faster.

The reason I vote is because my theory on the importance of voting is this:

"Everything I as a black man love about America is here because someone before me voted in my interest. And everything I hate about America is because someone before me voted against my interest."

No matter how frustrating elections are sometimes, you gotta keep voicing your opinion and voting.

The wheels do turn but it's a slow process not only because of Washington but it's a slow process because the country as a whole is both fickle and uneducated. There's policy issues now that Trump has done a complete 180 on from the Obama administration so now it's going to take a Democratic president to put shyt back into to place.. it's almost like starting all over again..

..but like I said before it all starts at the local level. I am optimistic that we are going to head in the right direction but it's still going to take time and the older generation needs to get out of the way.

Obama was too centrist at times but that was not all his fault. He wasn't given much of an opportunity on some things, he only had two years and after that it was six years of full nonstop obstruction that people on here like to forget about.

I'll always co-sign Obama because he helped people I know and grew up with directly with some of the policies he did put into place.. he helped people I know directly providing them with affordable healthcare and that would have NEVER happened under GOP leadership. The ACA needed some tweaks to it but instead of making some tweaks to it the Trump administration completely gutted it and are still trying to get the Supreme Court to completely overturn it. Was the ACA a true M4A no but again it was a big step in the right direction.

:mindblown:

This was an issue before Trump was in office.

The growing gig economy.
Stagnant wages.
A widening gap between the haves and have nots.
And the already HUGE gap has gotten worse since the pandemic but that's not a "trump" thing.
It was bound to happen whether Trump was president or not and that's purely because
of the lack of checks to the wealthy and their ability to manipulate government in their favor.

These people didn't just "slip" into poverty, they were already right at the edge of it because
state and federal government wasn't there to ensure that they were paid appropriately.

This is the last real opportunity for our vote to count. By 2024 the Hispanic population will be significantly larger and political groups will be catering to their demands more than ever. And by 2028 we'll be a footnote.

That is not true because Hispanics are electorally in states such as California, New York and Texas that do not swing. In addition, Hispanic is an ethnicity that has people of various races, so you are not able to target them as one. You can win new states with Black People electorally, and Republicans are aware of that and trying to win new Black guys as voters because of that. Hispanics also have amongst the lowest voter participation

Which side is trying to change that? In my state any policy that comes up that will assist the "have nots" as you call it comes directly from the left. And what does the GOP do? They attempt to thwart these policies at every turn .... "we can't afford it.." but then will co-sign another multi billion dollar defense contract as an example..

This "both sides" shyt is laughable. The left is far far from perfect but there is something there to work with, especially locally like I keep saying.. local elections are so very important..

The GOP I don't even look at because I know they don't give a fukk and never will

Biden is making the same mistake Hillary did. Which is talking about everything except how he's going to create millions of jobs once this pandemic is over. Because if he's talking about unlimited immigration and Globalization. That's what got Trump elected in the first place. So you're playing right into his hands.

SMH the Imam asked him a question about Black men and this nikkas went into "All Lives Matter" mode. Talking about there are people all over the state who are hurting.

Barack is refusing to understand that Black Americans bear a different cost that won't be fixed with only class based policies.

Barack is trying to make sure Joe wins. You already know if he went to deep on the black stuff that Fox News and CNN would be all over it like flies at a picnic.

I'd rather the Dems walk the walk instead of talking the talk. Anything perceived as "too black" is automatically anti-white and we're only 13% versus the white 65%.

When J. Robinette Biden gets in the WH....then we push for some real shyt.

He did the same thing in 2016 and Trump still got in office. :mjlol:
