I have a half brother and only met him once when I was like 6. My father decided to have a family with someone else and had no parts in my life and I had no contact with him or his other family.

If I get rich, I'm not giving my half brother shyt. I don't even know what my half brother money status is right now but when you're estranged from family and have no relationship, they are as good as strangers to you. I couldn't even tell you what my half brother name was.

If I had family that needed money and I was poor i would help them out whether I was close with them or not.

I had a cousin that needed surgery a while back, he lives in UK now, I never knew he existed but I sent him 2 Gs to help him out.

Only person you really owe s*** is your father/mother (assuming they were there for you during your upbringing). Family goes past genealogy. You have to personally FEEL the connection with another individual. Bloodline relations is moreso guild-like for me, something your born into that you may use to your advantage.​
