Being an athlete/rapper/hood is just as authentic as being the president/governor/engineer. We are multifaceted. We can be whatever we wanna be because our race is not a monolith as stated previously in this thread.How was the point missed? Someone like Iggy is mocking and profiting off a facet of the black struggle/life. Especially with the white privilege she has. I don't see why we as black people don't have a valid point in having a problem with that.
modern black culture is toxic and damaging to our mobility as a people. so, disassociating ourselves from it is smart. if that means i'm assimilating into "cac" culture, so be it. i don't see white people out here gunning themselves down on a regular basis (in spite of the occasional gun massacre), but black men are slaughtering each other in every major city across america every single day. and you can't argue that black culture isn't to blame. it is.

In the '80s, NYC had a big problem in Chinatown. I'm sure there's still Asian crime in the West Coast. There's just not enough of it to talk about, and/or the media doesn't want to.
Plus organized crime is how most of these illegal Asians get into the country in the first place.
I actually agree with the POTUS on this.
White people don't put themselves in a box. They don't put a cap on what white people are supposed to be doing. Black people do, however. The "acting black" thing is self-imposed by the black community and is generally a way of reinforcing the exact stereotypes that we say that we all aren't.
Hey....well lets enslave and segregate whites for centuries, and then suppress their quality of life and enforce in every child from birth that black is desirable and the broader norm that all most acculturate to, while white is negative and deserves to exist on the margins and then lets see how they respond if you're gunna big up white people so much. As for the rest white people in poor areas do just as bad as poor blacks if not worse. The only difference is that they all got a boost via racist actions in the past to now which is why you barely hear about their poor population.

No you dumbass. It has to do with poverty. Just like the white people committing crimes are impoverished as well. And even the suburban white people who have no reason to commit crime still will do dumb shyt like shoot up a school or steal from stores.
As for the "gun violence", we know how white people can get away with a lot of stuff before anyone starts tracking them down. It's far easier for white people to get guns whether legally or illegally so you best believe that the poor white people are committing acts of gun violence out there as well. And they're committing it among each other at similar rates but the media won't report it for obvious reasons.
