They might not want to associate with them but how often do you hear about Asians being racist towards one another or Asian on Asian crime?

He's 100% right and the responses in this thread are exactly why he made the statement. Black folks are the main race with intra-racism.
Every other race tries to help each other out but we hate and try to keep our own back

Being an athlete/rapper/hood is just as authentic as being the president/governor/engineer. We are multifaceted. We can be whatever we wanna be because our race is not a monolith as stated previously in this thread. How was the point missed? If Obama is saying that there are no set characteristics/behaviors that make someone black yet people criticize Iggy for "acting black" then how is @LA Fisher wrong?![]()
modern black culture is toxic and damaging to our mobility as a people. so, disassociating ourselves from it is smart. if that means i'm assimilating into "cac" culture, so be it. i don't see white people out here gunning themselves down on a regular basis (in spite of the occasional gun massacre), but black men are slaughtering each other in every major city across america every single day. and you can't argue that black culture isn't to blame. it is.![]()

No df you dont you old ass dustheaad
Why df you 40 year old ass nikkas think that the youth belive the only way to be successful as a black male is basketball or rap? Its 2014, its more black kids in college than ever before. We're not like youand think that the only way out da projects dat you all lived in bacc then is becoming a studio gangster rapper, we actually have common sense

Someone like Iggy is mocking and profiting off a facet of the black struggle/life. Especially with the white privilege she has. I don't see why we as black people don't have a valid point in having a problem with that.

This nikka's on one again.
And let's not even go into "cac" culture which is based on stealing from other cultures and completely destroying and disenfranchising other groups and their civilizations in the most violent ways.

In the '80s, NYC had a big problem in Chinatown. I'm sure there's still Asian crime in the West Coast. There's just not enough of it to talk about, and/or the media doesn't want to.They might not want to associate with them but how often do you hear about Asians being racist towards one another or Asian on Asian crime?
I actually agree with the POTUS on this.
White people don't put themselves in a box. They don't put a cap on what white people are supposed to be doing. Black people do, however. The "acting black" thing is self-imposed by the black community and is generally a way of reinforcing the exact stereotypes that we say that we all aren't.

are you kidding me?They might not want to associate with them but how often do you hear about Asians being racist towards one another or Asian on Asian crime?

Nah, within black culture there is good hip hop which uplifts the people that I could never abandon over some white washed shyt.modern black culture is toxic and damaging to our mobility as a people. so, disassociating ourselves from it is smart. if that means i'm assimilating into "cac" culture, so be it. i don't see white people out here gunning themselves down on a regular basis (in spite of the occasional gun massacre), but black men are slaughtering each other in every major city across america every single day. and you can't argue that black culture isn't to blame. it is.![]()
i'm on what, exactly? it isn't a fact that the majority of gun violence in america is perpetrated by young black men? it isn't a fact that this violence is glorified by hip-hop, the dominant musical aesthetic of black culture? tell me, breh. what am i on?![]()
