Dude had 8 years as the fukking president to fight gerrymandering, and in those 8 years that gerrymandering did HELLA damage.

Why wait until he's fukking powerless? He might as well not do shyt

because gerrymandering is not a federal issue. and this post presidency stuff is related to fighting it at a grassroots level ... you know something a president would be too busy to engage in.

Gerrymandering doesn't affect the House? :comeon:

And a president with the power to push, leverage for, sign and veto bills into law has a lot more power over gerrymandering, which is a national issue, than some random dude "fighting it at a grassroots level". If Obama felt "fighting at a grassroots level" was the most effective way to get shyt done, he would have stayed at the grassroots level instead of becoming fukking president :dead:

The mental gymnastics you are going through are quite impressive :leon: I give this a 9 out of 10 on the exculpatory bullshyt scale

What was he supposed to do to fight Gerrymandering as president though other than encouraging people to go vote in the mid-term elections and campaigning for the Dems. There is nothing you can do about it until 2020 to be honest which is perfect because that is a GE year.

The Dems fukked up not coming out in full force in 2010.

The FLOTUS got initiatives for school fukking lunches rolling and on the books. Are you really going to sit here and tell me the president was completely powerless to create some kind of gerrymandering initiative?

You nikkas are full of shyt right now. Stop :cape:

Let me try and follow you here with this whole Obama should have pushed for a bill to fight gerrymandering flow you on here. Lets see, who writes bills, thats right Congress writes bills. Who has been in control of Congress since 2010 mostly due to gerrymandering, republicans have been in control of Congress since 2010 mostly due to gerrymandering. So Obama should have been fighting for republicans to draft a bill that would most likely end up removing a sizable portion of them from office. Yeah buddy, that would have worked out just fine.

The way to fight this now is at the state level and have a system like Iowa where a non-partisan group oversees the district lines.

How would it look for a sitting president to get involved in changing the election process?
How much time and effort would the president have to use to get involved in the process in 50 states and thousands of counties?

You're sounding silly bruh. Gerrymandering is done by state legislatures. What is the President supposed to do? Try and use executive power to supersede state laws?

And you compare that to Michelle Obama's school lunch initiative. She had the backing of stimulus funds, high-ranking people in the HHS and CDC and people in the food industry willing to play ball because it wasn't controversial and wasn't fukking up anyone's money and power.

You think Obama can just deebo say the whole Republican political establishment in North Carolina to redraw their districts so they can lose their own jobs? Be serious.
