Thats why N64 games aged worse than playstation 1 games. PS1 games became an aesthetic this generation, n64 is just muddy and ugly. Looks like texture map soup
Been playing Majora's mask on switch on and off throughout the year. Tried playing twisted metal and jet moto on ps5. Majora's mask shytting on both of them.

If they aren't making a remake right now they fumbled the bag. Zelda fatigue gonna set in if they try another open world game. But its also gonna be underwhelming to do anything less. May as well remake the GOAT to space things out.

Game was low key scary as fukk. I used to be scared as fukk of Hyrule Castle Town when you go there as Adult link :damn:. Hearing those moans from whatever the fukk those enemies were used to creep me out.

LONELY ass dungeons, terrifying towns. WHY would Link walk into a talking tree and drop all the way down from the roof of the tree below!?? :damn:

Skull Kid :damn:

Ganondorf being a dark skinned enemy riding away in the rain with Zelda:damn::damn:

I don't know what it was about N64 games but they were scary as fukk for no reason.

Mario 64 in that big ass, masonic designed castle all alone with Bowser. :damn:
:laff: it's funny cuz all of this is true

Kume and Kotake :damn:

Forest temple music :damn:

Everything in the shadow temple :damn:

The poe's in the graveyard :damn:

I think most of us were kids, how could you argue 32 > 64
Art direction and sprite usage. Idgaf about bits, I can't think of a single N64 game that's more visually appealing in 2023 than a Breath of Fire 4 for example.

It's kind of crazy how the opinions on the psx vs N64 graphics has basically flipped overtime. I remember when those consoles were new, the N64 was considered to have better graphics, but the psx graphic style has aged better overtime. I also feel like psx looks better on newer screens, those old TVs really hid the blurriness of N64 textures.

I remember at the time the N64 ports of the quake games were considered to be superior to the psx ports. The N64 ports looked closer to the PC, and people said the psx version looked built using a outdated graphic renderer. But if you look at comparisons of those games today the psx port looks wayyy better.
