Odell Beckham just hit Nike for $25m. Tell me again how BBB is winning?

Even more of a reason he shoulda took the money and ran:mjlol:
The avg rookie deal is between 200k-700k on top of being locked in for 4 years. If Lonzo ball out I'm sure his signature merch will make more than a rookie shoe deal. Now if BBB make some noise I bet some billionaire will bring the bag to BBB fam with the quickness. But we shall see. It all depends on Lonzo

Ben Simmons got $20 mil guaranteed over 5 years from Nike last year and hasn't set foot on an NBA court yet.

That's a better comparison for Ball than Beckham.

Ball, especially if he goes to the Lakers, could have EASILY gotten a deal that big, or bigger, from one of the big 3 companies. Even if Simmons was the better player, Ball is the bigger name and in the bigger market.

Do you realize how long it would take Ball to approach $20 mil off of BBB? We're talking literal YEARS. Maybe a decade at least.
Ben Simmons had actual legit one in a lifetime hype. Lonzo hype is from his dads mouth. Where is Russell or Jaylon 20 million deal?

He'd get more than that as a popular top 5 pick maybe going to the Lakers. But even at just 700K he'd need to sell a hell of a lot $400 shoes in order to make that much in profit. Which he won't unless he ends up making some noise in the league, in which case Nike would have given him more money.

The hype was about him as a player, but it's irrelevant to marking ability. Lonzo Ball is the most household name to come into the NBA draft in years, he's marketable from the jump and that's worth a lot of money to a company like Nike.

U got details on the last 2 top 2 Lakers picks Ingram & Russell? Because I have yet to see a ad with their face on it. Lonzo game made it a hot line & Lavar mouth made it a hot song.

As a Laker fan I know for a fact our fan base would not be this in on Zo without the circus of BBB.

That's fine, but that circus would have given him more money from Nike. Even if he ran with BBB for a year or two.

Just read that Ingram got 10mil from addidas.

That's a lot of BBB merchandise.

infamy doesn't equal marketability
nothing about the ball brothers is marketable beyond the fact that they play ball
they curved the machine and the machine is what creates the image for these swaggless athletes

$10 million profit over 5 years isn't chump change.
Yup. People forgetting about the fact that Nike spends billions on marketing, promotion, etc. not even taking into account the costs of designing, manufacturing and shipping a product.

10 mill profit is a lot of money for any business. Hell most businesses lose money the first 5 years.

So OBJ just hit Nike for the highest NFL contract ever - 5 years $25 mill, all profit.

https://www.google.com/amp/www.sbna...882/odell-beckham-jr-signs-nike-adidas-cleats

He will be able to live and feed the next few generations of his family just off his endorsement deal, which is gaurenteed, all profit, straight cash.

BBB might see 200k profit this year. $1m if they do the unexpected and go out of this world in sales.

How is this hustling? Just because your name is on it lol?

Also is Nike a slave master to OBJ? Is OBJ being exploited? Do tell. :usure:
Are you really this stupid or is this thread sarcastic?

I dont get why these shoe companies dont wanna market and pay nfl players big money. Odell is more popular in america than some of those nba players they throw money @.
Basketball apparel is easy to market because you can wear it anywhere
