If Lonzo comes to the Lakers and BALLS OUT (I said if) you gonna see that BBB shyt everywhere in those stands

Fam you trying to be that guy with bold? Yeah technically you might be right how often is that the case in real life esp now? In the 90's people were wearing more football sneakers but now? Even then the best football sneaks weren't doing top basketball star sneaker numbers so how are people wrong my man outside of some anyone can hit the lottery steeze?
It's not that it can't sell "like that"... it's that it won't sell like basketball apparel. You said you were a football player and bought 3 pair. But that's cause you played football. There are nikkas out there buying 3 pairs of Brons or KDs that have never played a day of competitive basketball in their life.
Basketball shoes are bought, in a lot of cases, with no intention to be used for basketball. As a matter of fact, my little brother asked for two pairs of basketball shoes this past Christmas (not even some signature shoe either), and this dude plays basketball maybe once every few months.
it's just different.
I do agree that he (OBJ) needs some creative control... the designs he was wearing weren't some design that a think tank at Nike could come up with... they were done by a real artist, in touch with this generation.

Some people want to be entrepreneurs, others want to be strictly athletes with the freedom to perfect and solely focus on their craft.
Lavar could've signed a 2-3 year deal, made connections, learned the business, let Lonzo settle, and then made the leap. His spirit and ambition shouldn't be mocked, his execution, that's another issue.
Salute to the brother Odell and salute to the Ball family
What is Nike doing, that Odell and his team/company personals couldn't do themselves?

Even with that said how many football players is that my man? One or two? Hell you had to go dang near 10+ years before Beckham to find someone that might be on the same level. Its not going to pop like, that fam. Every now and then you'll get a superstar but for the most part its not happening in football. I think that time done for the most part.I prolly should've worded it better but I understand that it won't sell on the level of basketball shoes. It's hard to compare the two. Football and basketball are on two different levels when it comes to individuality.
All I'm saying is that it's possible for a football player to make their own mark in that market. Vick was almost there until he got in trouble. I knew a few other kids that wore his shoes and didn't play. Not as much as football players but still. If Vick had the colorway options that's available now then I'm sure more people would've wore his shoes off the field. I'm just saying if all parties involved play their cards right then a breakout could happen.
