Chubb had label dispute, and refused to record for years. He played the wait out game with them, and since he had other ways of earning money , they had no leverage against him. Missed prime recording period, as he was still popular when he "went on strike".

and, oh yeah....

who said that bar?

Saw him rock live Saturday in Atlantic City at Charlie Mack's Hip-Hop's 50th Anniversary Mixtape (along with 49 other old-school hip-hop acts and legends. Incredible show).

His stage presence is still elite and to be able to rock every word from "Treat 'Em Right" with no hypeman at his age was crazy.

i only came in here to mention that Sauce Money is another fat rapper who doesn't get mentioned either.

Cool rock ski is the other and the original best fat rapper.

Arguably Best name in rap history too.

Was ahead of his time on just stick"em.

That imo no fat rapper has really been on his level of skill via timeline. Maybe others improved or had other bells and whistle. Or just came from his playbook. Yet there really has been rappers of the overweight persuasion.
people like better but in timeline based on skill. Cool rock ski was the pound for pound best overweight rapper by timeline.
Big and chubb were the evolution of. what if cool rock ski went solo with prince Markie dee. While heav is what if the fat Boyz. were all one group member. Plus pop draw marketable like prince Markie dee as a solo.

In that no other fat rapper has been on the same timeline of skill like cool rock ski.
Where cool rock ski required no ramp up in skill.
The solo overweight rappers of lore. Get propped more rightfully so because they do three times the work. Yet singularly verse to verse via timeline. None of them were that level of dope at hardcore. On their first appearance like cool rock ski was.

Who never needed to ramp like Big and never struggled being hard-core like heav. Even when the direction of the group was compromised. Dragging them all into nondraw ol school way of thought hell.

Can't put the blame on Trackmasterz if they had enough leftover heat to give his little brother & his dancer fire

Had so much heat that one of the Trackmasterz became an artist

The problem was "I Gotta Get Mine Yo" was supposed to be a breakout record and it just reeked of corniness. No need for conspiracy theories, he tried to switch up his formula and failed miserably.

Funny that this thread popped up. I just saw his name on a flyer yesterday. He's still at it, he's been living here for years. Hasn't lost a step.
