Kobe was one of the worst rated defensive SGs? Prove it.

Kobe was 62 in defensive win shares behind Paul George, Tony Allen, Dwyane Wade, Lance Stephenson, Rudy Gay, Chris Paul, Luol Deng, Monta Ellis, Danny Green, Andre Iguodala, Thabo Sefolosha, James Harden, Lamar Odom, Evan Turner, Matt Barnes, Stephen Curry, Jeff Green, Jason Kidd, Jrue Holiday, J.R. Smith, Eric Bledsoe

and that's just PG SG OR GF

even fukking Harden and JR Smith were better at defense last year :snoop:

That's how you measure defense? Win shares? And how are those calculated. :lupe:

Not defensive rating?

Look at Kobe's ranking here.

Hoopdata - NBA Defense and Rebounding Player Stats

There's a lot of ways to rate defense friend. Just using win shares is flawed. Was Kobe a great defender last season? No. Not at all. But he wouldn't be any worse on a team where he didn't have to shoulder a huge offensive load.

Bottom line, Kobe was older in age and minutes played, took on the brunt of the Lakers' offense, and still put up elite numbers. Wade couldn't do the same that's why he's on the 3rd team.

um hello that link you posted had wade number 1 on defensive rating at 2.78

and Kobe was at 8 at 1.86

any stat you have shows Wade was by far the superior defender

i know you never played basketball so you have to rely on stats, i get that

but you were a bad math student so u dont really know what these numbers mean

just trust in kobes all defensive selections.

But was he one of the worst in the NBA? No.

Like I said, he's carrying the whole offense at 34. Something had to give. He's not 28 anymore.

Let Bron take care of the offense and his defensive intensity improves.

by that metric he was ranked 8th but the other he was ranked 62 and the lakers as a whole were a horrible team on defense and his plus and minus showed he had no positive effect on the team defensively

Wade ranked higher in each category on a top 5 defense and his offense was still ranked higher as far as PER

so how does an even older and slower Kobe now start before Wade :merchant:
