The CRAZIEST part to me...even if I believed Wilsons story 100 percent...thats STILL enough to go to trial. It makes no sense to not even have a fukkin trial. He explicitly stated he used lethal force without ever seeing a weapon.
How come after the initial confrontation Wilson didnt radio dispatch? An officer was assaulted, and he discharged his weapon. He's still in the car and Mike Brown is running away. Why didnt he radio for help right then? Mike Brown is 300lbs and was shot in his hand. He's not getting very far. Wait for backup, then arrest him.
If Mike Brown is anything more than 10 feet away from you...and you never saw a gun on him...how can you claim your life was threatened and therefore needed to use lethal force?
By Wilsons on version of events he should have been indicted.
But he did radio dispatch... well, at least he (claims to have) thought he did. In his story, Wilson also said his radio was, for some reason, on the wrong channel, so even though he thought he was messaging for help, no one was hearing him.
What kills me is how people are taking this story as 100% unadulterated truth. It's not possible that since this happened like two months ago that the cop might misremember, or misinterpret something he saw or thought he saw? Like the OP said, there are a lot of inconsistencies, and this shyt is just hard to believe. Like, several witnesses made comments about Wilson shooting at Brown as he ran away, presumably all missing. But Wilson says he didn't take a single shot outside the car until Brown doubled back to charge him. Which is it? I'm no conspiracy theorist, but it seems like Wilson had a lot of time to get his story straight and make sure some details were consistent with the forensic evidence
