Id love to keep Rondo but I think Danny needs to decide soon if we're truly rebuilding or just adding pieces to make things work. If we're rebuilding, see ya later Rondo.

If we know Rondo isn't gonna fukk us over in free agency and seriously wants to stay, then why not keep him?

We can use the Clippers #1 next season and package that with Gerald Wallace and try to move him... the Clippers pick is gonna be in that 25-30 range anyways most likely.

Then we have the cap space to keep Rondo, but also make a run at Love, Aldridge, etc. without having to give up assets.

Why's everyone trying to package Sully into the trade deals and saying Kelly is the one to keep? I never understood that. I think Sully is a way better player and has a better future if he stays healthy. I'm getting the impression that people think Kelly is the next Dirk but I just don't see it.

If we trade Rondo, maybe we should wait till the trade deadline and teams get desperate for a player to help in a championship push and we can swindle them. We need a big guy, or draft picks that will be high. We are not a team who can get rid of players to create cap room for future free agents, because players do not want to sign in Boston. I cannot remember the last time when the Celts signed a top notch free agent in the prime of their career.

Avery Bradley 4 years 32 million

Definitly an overpay, and not in love with this contract at all...

Though I see Danny's reasoning to sign Bradley to this deal early cause there's so many teams with cap space that will throw money at Bradley and had they wanted, they would probably be forced to match a bigger deal

Anybody check out the game today?

Smart, Olynyk, and Pressey all looked good

Iverson might make the team, barring any moves or trades they currently need his size

Dairis Bertans and Mike Moser played pretty well, good shooters

Also; Woj tweeted today we are still aggressively seeking trade for Kevin Love

I don't think Love is going down. If Minnesota wouldn't take a deal from us pre draft, I don't see how we've improved to lure him away now. Rumor is a three team deal, but we'll see.

I wouldn't mind making a run at Greg Monroe. We could use his size, and while he lacks on the defensive end, maybe cab be coached up on that to be serviceable. He'd give us a big advantage in the east.

Well, looks like after everything, y'all are the last ones still standing for Kevin Love

Any link to support this? I couldn't find anything :yeshrug:

I don't think we have the assets to get Love, outside of picks. Rondo, Oly, Sully, Green...None of these guys are highly desirable by Minn to lose Love.

I'd still like to make a run at Monroe. Think that would be a good look (course they'd have to give up some assets for this, but on paper)

Monroe/Zeller/Oly
Sully/Bass
Green/Wallace
Bradley/Thornton/Young
Rondo/Smart

Anyways; two things today.

For everybody that thought we were done in free agency, Goodman reported today that we are interested in Evan Turner.

Also; supposedly Danny was offering Bass to GS for a trade exception.

I do not want to see Gerald Wallace wearing a Celtic uniform this season

The Boston Celtics have agreed to terms with free-agent swingman Evan Turner, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.

According to the Boston Herald, which first reported the deal, Turner will sign for a portion of the midlevel exception.

Boston is adding the former No. 2 pick from the 2010 draft. But the 25-year-old Turner will be looking to revitalize his career in Boston.

Turner has averaged 11.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists over four NBA seasons. He was dealt from Philadelphia to Indiana at last year's trade deadline with the playoff-bound Pacers looking to bolster their bench. Turner played only sparingly as a reserve while Indiana was bounced in the Eastern Conference finals.

The Pacers did not extend an $8.7 million qualifying offer, making Turner a free agent.

Boston has a growing crowd at the shooting guard and small forward positions. The team drafted Marcus Smart and James Young in June's draft, while re-signing starting shooting guard Avery Bradley to a four-year, $32 million extension this offseason.

Boston will soon have 18 players on a roster with a payroll commitment of nearly $80 million. The team has three nonguaranteed deals that could help it dip back below the luxury-tax line, but more moves are ahead to shape the roster before the start of the 2014-15 season.

Another asset. I'm actually an Evan Turner fan... hopefully this means Gerald Wallace and/or Jeff Green is on the way out, if those two are moved, we could have close to 40 million in cap space next season

The Boston Celtics unveiled an alternate logo for the 2014-15 season on Monday, producing a silhouetted logo featuring the team's Lucky the Leprechaun mascot.

Courtesy Boston CelticsThe Celtics' new alternate logo won't be used on game uniforms.
Said the team in a news release: "The goal in creating the logo was to extend the Celtics brand with a symbol reflecting the rich tradition of the organization throughout its history, yet versatile enough to work across various formats and products."

The Celtics said the new logo reflects the leprechaun logo from the 1960s illustrated by Celtics legend Red Auerbach's brother, Zang.

The new logo will not be use on game uniforms, but the Celtics made one uniform switch for the 2014-15 season.

Their road jerseys will now read "BOSTON" on the front rather than "CELTICS." Also, all teams that have won NBA titles will have a gold tab on the back of their jerseys indicating those titles.

:patrice: Interesting move signing Turner. We have a lot of SG's. I'm hoping someone will take J Anthony, Bass, and G Wallace off our hands. I'm thinking Rondo might really be on the way out.
