fitzpatrick was terrible, i dont care what his stats said, he couldnt hit any passes over 10 yards. we're going to waste spillers prime, stevies prime, and a stacked defense is going to go to waste.

an oline that produced (essentially) 2 probowl running backs, and allowed fitz to look halfway decent, and be one of the least sacked qbs in the league... and we're breaking it apart and letting guys walk?
thats the buffalo way: draft good players, build a core, let them walk after their rookie deal, say it's time to rebuild again.
if we had started tavaris jackson last year after the loss to the titans, we would have made the playoffs, i guarantee it. but russ knew that doing that would mean spending SERIOUS cash this offseason to retain everyone, and possibly bring in a free agent qb and pay him too, essentially maxing out the cap.
bills are cheap, they didnt want to do that, so its "lets rebuild this mess again," but its not a true rebuild, cause they dont want to swallow buddy's contract, so he stays on until after the draft. also, they dont want to pay a real coach, so we get the big east's middle of the road talent to come in. but hey, havent had a coach from the college ranks for a while, so that will give us some hope, because the fans might think "young coach, new qb, a new start for the bills, where do i sign for my season tickets please!"
