I'm kinda leary of Koenigsegg now. They talked up their 1:One but that car has only been showcased twice I believe. They're entering the vaporware territory to me.

And I recall Christian saying that they wouldn't go to hybrid because they would have to make too many compromises. He probably changed his tune when he saw the 918 and then the P1 and then the LaFerrari. Went from to real quick.

All the cars look good though except the Bentley imo. Not a fan of that exterior. Hopefully one day I'll get to drive a couple of these super/mega/hypercars.

Kahn Design has announced the debut of a coach-built concept based on the Land Rover Defender 110 titled the Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6 Concept. The formal unveiling of the prototype, codenamed "Mission 1" will take place at the Geneva Motor Show, at the Kahn Design stand, no. 6338 at 14:45 on the 3rd of March.

Since the early 1900s, automotive coachbuilders have created custom vehicles using pre existing chassis. Whilst names such as Pininfarina, Zagato and Bertone have risen to be globally recognised, in recent years there has been no equivalent in Britain.

Now, Kahn Design is bringing together their design ethos with traditional techniques and expert craftsmanship to create a modern icon, and leading a resurgence in British automotive design and coachbuilding which is set to challenge the rest of the world.

The Flying Huntsman 110 WB 6x6 Concept is equipped with a 6.2-litre GM LS3 V8 engine, driving a six-speed automatic gearbox with tap shift control. With an estimated 430 bhp its explosive performance is a far cry from the stolid pulling power of the original.

Built to tame even the hardiest terrain, with a hi-lo ratio drive system and locking differentials, a rugged heavy duty chassis as well as upgraded braking and suspension systems, this modern British icon would be equally comfortable outrunning any roadgoing SUV.

The vehicle has been lengthened with a 400mm extension to the bonnet, and 800mm extension to the rear cabin, as well as being widened by 150mm. The windscreen rake has been increased, and the rear door widened along with the front doors increased length to allow improved entry and egress. A full panoramic roof extends from the B pillars to the rear of the vehicle. The exterior styling is striking and aggressive, inspired by Kahn's popular Chelsea Truck Company Defenders.

Extreme conversions have been proposed, including both B4, B6, B6+ and B7 armoured variants, to provide maximum security for the driver and passengers.

Talks are in currently in progress to map out a production schedule for the Huntsman, with up to five potential variants including 4 and 6 wheel versions, as well as a range of hard top and pickup options. Full details of the concept vehicle will be made available at the press conference in Geneva on the 3rd of March

2016 Porsche GT3 RS

You should never, ever, ever buy a new Porsche 911 GT3 when it first comes out. That's not to say it's somehow bad. It's just that the debut of a new GT3 is, almost without fail, followed by a GT3 RS. GT3: good. GT3 RS: better.

This is the latest hot 911, and it comes out shooting with a 4.0-liter flat-six, complete with 500 horsepower and 338 pound-feet of torque. As we explained earlier this morning, sitting behind the wheel of the GT3 RS means 60 miles per hour is just 3.1 seconds away. That is, frankly, a hilariously fast time for a rear-drive, naturally aspirated vehicle with just 500 hp. Consider the new Ferrari 488 GTB, if you will – it has an extra 160 horsepower, (probably) two turbochargers and two more cylinders, and it's only a tenth of a second faster to 62 than the Porsche is to 60.

Any Porsche worth its salt will be as rapid in the corners as it is on the straights, and the GT3 RS is no different. It managed to trim five seconds off the standard GT3's Nürburgring time, thanks in part to Porsche's dedication to weight reduction. It's down 22 pounds on the standard car, thanks to magnesium and carbon fiber components. On top of that, Porsche pushed the aerodynamics with a track-ready rear wing and a fairly substantial front splitter.

Of course, you know all of this, because we covered it this morning. Still, it seemed worth recapping as we delivered our very own, live-from-Geneva photos of the 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Take a look.

Benz G500 4x4 Concept

In terms of truly badass off-roaders, it doesn't get much cooler than the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6x6. After all, the thing has three axles powering six wheels, not to mention an AMG-tuned V8 that makes the truck pretty much unstoppable. Call it an exercise in excess, if you will, but we call it super cool. And now, at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes is showing off a slightly less outrageous version of its insane off-roader, called the G500 4x4².

And by "slightly less outrageous," we pretty much mean, "with one fewer axle." Sure, there have been some other changes, too – namely under the hood, where the AMG's twin-turbo 5.5-liter V8 has been removed in favor of a new, twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8, good for 422 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque.

Off road, this thing should be a freaking beast. It can ford depths up to 39 inches, the approach angle is 53 degrees, departure is 54, and the breakover is 47. Talk about all-terrain.

Plus, it looks freaking cool, with 22-inch wheels on 325/55-series tires (which can be swapped for a set of 18-inch wheels on 37-inch beadlock tires). We even love the lime green paint it wore upon debut, and are kind of sad the Geneva showcar is painted in this less-awesome silver.

VW Passat Alltrack

If Volkswagen built a Subaru Outback-fighter for US buyers, the Passat Alltrack would be it, and the new generation of VW's off-roading wagon debuted this week at the Geneva Motor Show.

The Passat Alltrack – which is not sold in the United States – takes the car-like demeanor of the Passat and punches it up into a go-anywhere crossover. It has permanent 4Motion all-wheel drive, raised ride height and an electronic differential lock. The body is fitted with modified bumpers with underbody guards, reinforced wheelarches and side moldings with extended sills. There are roof rails on top, and it rolls on standard 17-inch wheels with 18s and 19s optional.

The Passat Alltrack offers five direct-injected engines, with the lineup comprised of two turbocharged gasoline mills and three turbo diesels.

Volkswagen loaded the vehicle with a wide range of infotainment and safety features, including choices of five radio and navigation units. It also has fully digital instruments, heads-up display and a rear-seat entertainment system setup for laptops. There is also lane-changing assist, rear-traffic alert and trailer-assist features.

As spokesman confirmed to Autoblog there are no plans to bring the Passat Alltrack to the US marke

Lotus Evora 400

Lotus may have scrapped all the grandiose plans of the preceding administration, but don't think for one minute that it's going to just sit on its finely honed laurels. No, the British automaker plans to revitalize its existing lineup, starting with the new Evora 400.

Based on the company's existing 2+2 sports car, the new Evora 400 features a revised version of theToyota-sourced 3.5-liter supercharged V6 that now produces 55 more horsepower than the Evora S for a titular total of 400 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque.

With revised aero, bodywork, electronics, differential, gearbox and brakes, the new Evora 400 debuting here at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show will now run to 60 in 4.1 seconds, reach a top speed of 186 miles per hour and lap the company's famously grueling test track six seconds faster than the previous model. If that's what resting on laurels looks like, we'll be taking our next vacation in Hethel, England.
