Dawg, the fukking Chairperson of the DNC was forced to quit hours before the convention started, then got loudly booed by the delegates from her home state, and was forcibly removed from her convention speaking slots. The leader of the main opposition got loudly booed when he called for unity hours before the convention. The freaking invocation got booed so loudly the person giving it had to pause. The first 30 minutes of the convention got derailed by a chorus of boos every time a speaker even mentioned the name Clinton or Kaine. The DNC was forced to try and pacify the hostile crowd by releasing an apology in the middle of the convention. We heard chants of "War Hawk!" and "We trusted you!" during the attempted unification speech by one of the leading progressives in the Senate. You heard a speaker call these insurgents "ridiculous" on stage. The leader of these opposition forces got a longer and louder applause than we'll probably see given to the actual nominee. The entire night there were floor protests against the main policy proposal of the President.

This was historic strife.

Now y'all trying to compare all of that to a passage from Melania Trump's speech being cribbed?? If the RNC featured even half of that, the media would be proclaiming them dead as a doornail. The Democratic coalition is cracking at the seams. No matter how many disabled individuals or lesbians or hispanic people or black people they bring out there to pacify the crowd and say "But look at how diverse we are!", there are legitimate issues at play here.

haha, historic strife. Are you new? Some booing. It ended well. The Bernie fans are a little mad right now, but in 4 months from now when it comes time to vote, do Bernie supporters want Trump as President? If it is about the issues, then Trump isn't for them. They're hurting right now, most will get over it. Just like Hillary supporters did when she lost to Obama, most voted for him.

Surprised she's a Bernie supporter. You'd think #StrongerTogether would be a message she'd connect with judging by those eyebrows :dame:

I cannot think of a convention so chaotic and disjointed since the 1968 DNC. There is no unity, and you're fooling yourself if you believe otherwise.

These people look "a little mad right now" to you?

Some booing? :mjlol: gtfoh

Just as I said before, their primary issues are trade (anti-TPP) and political corruption. Trump makes a stronger case for both of those issues than Hillary does. I'm not saying they're all gonna board the Trump train. But these aren't like the PUMAs who were just stanning their Queen in '08, these are people with deep convictions about the system and how it's rigged. They have no real loyalty to the institution of the Democratic Party, many of them were politically activated by Bernie's campaign. They cannot be controlled, even by Bernie. I don't know if we'll see or hear as much booing going forward, because the Clinton goons on the floor are expecting it and will find ways to neutralize the Bernie folks, but this is not a unified party. These people will not get over it. They will either go to Stein/Johnson or they will disengage, but they sure as hell won't be voting Clinton.

:sas2: FACTS...and the appointment of DWS to her team was the final slap in the face for these people...that was a callous mistake on her part

Again, most will vote for Hillary, simply because on issues, she's closer than Trump obviously. Trump isn't a progressive. Sanders got some of the stuff he wanted. In order to change a party or steer it, you need to be in it. Right now, they're just in their feelings, having a good cry.

90 percent of unwavering Sanders supporters plan to vote for Clinton in November
