I'm voting third party...

But they way nikkas stomp their feet and yell about some damn rent discrimination and turn around and support a family that tore families apart over bullshytt is goofy

Trump doesn't have a political record to scrutinize. He wont even release his tax returns. The way he showed his ass during the Central Park 5 ordeal told me all i needed to know. His father being basically a Klansman and the way he tried to dog whistle racists with his birther shyt with Obama was all i needed. Trump is a piece of shyt.

Your right but I guarantee your daddy trump is gonna keep that trend going upwards

Obama has kept the trends going upwards, i expect the trends to keep climbing no matter who is elected...White supremacy thrives when black males are locked away..Doesnt take away from the fact that Bill accelerated the trend during his presidency

I've talked about the crime bill focus on here before. It is indeed a cherry picked event because it's treated in a vacuum regadless of the historical context. Again people who are old enough to at least develope memories during the 90s know that the crime bill and the culture against crime was similar to the attitudes against terrorism today. Dukakis lost partially due to soft on crime attacks in 88. Being soft on crime or being perceived as being soft on crime would be like saying you don't want to go after Isis today. So that is the culture that existed at the time

Secondly, as I've mentioned in respnse to this cherry picked issue, many folks in the black community including black leaders and politicians are the ones who pushed for crime laws because crime in black communities in particular was extremely out of control from the 80s until the 90. They wanted to get the criminals out of the community and decided to tak the tough on crime mentality in regards to the proposals on fixing the issue.

Very few presidents can say they never did anything that in retrospect they could have done differently. So what I personally look for is that ok we admit these laws in retrospect were too draconian. Then I look at who can admit this and work to make changes or who doubles down in stubbornness. In the case of Hillary, she was using Corey booker as a surrogate on the campaign trail and he is an advocate for removing minimum sentencing guidelines and rolling back these polices. They current justice department as mentioned by holder tonight with truth, has made changes to roll back the most extreme of these policies.

Finally, while we can agree that there is an issue with overzealous prosecutions, not every single person who is jailed is an innocent victim either. That is a side of the coin that is always lost here. Also to play devils advocate, during this same period you've seen a constant drop in crime. Again the above argument is a devils advocate from me but it's an argument that can be made.
That argument sounds like it came out an approved speech from the convention tonight.
Why play devil's advocate?

You asked for my response I gave it to you.

If my argument is good enough to be worthy of being a stump speech for a political convention I'll take it as a complement.

I meant every word I said though.
