I remember that night Obama spoke at the 2004 DNC. I remember my younger brother saying "Obama '08" that night in 2004. Prophetic. And we were only 13 and 15yrs old at that time respectively.
I remember shaking Obama's hand at Bojangles Coliseum in 2008. I looked him in the eyes and, I kid you not I said "It's about time brotha" I was 19 at the time. I remember his eyes looking tired and red.
