Nah, I'm glad I know about it now. The XB1 s is cool, but I need to know it is better made for the long haul than the original. My shyt still on 24/7/365 and the giant heatsink makes it so I'm not concerned. If this new one has the same lifespan? Then what else can it do for me other than another 1.5gb of space? If 4K video is it, I'm straight with my day one xbox. Thank you xbox for not trying to sucker me into buying an S and scorpio

Even tho this conference was extremely lackluster. I may transition back to the Xbox brand if Scorpio is what it really is. MS is literally trying to erase everything that was from the Mattrick era including the weak ass console. PS4 has been my main console for most of this gen.

Nah the PS4 dev kits had different stats as well. No Neo at this E3 suggests its coming next year with stat adjustments.

It's not that easy to make big chances this late in the game.

They'd have to scrap their plans and go with an entire new design.

We where buying ps3 slims while the ps4 was in development Sony sat on it. Even when the hacker leaked it Sony had the conference in February didn't show the ps4 sat on it until e3.

you don't know what you talking about, dev kits are not always a true reflection of finalized specs. its the base line. for example; ps4 dev kits had 4GB of ram. the killzone shadowfall demo at ps4 reveal only used that because of the dev kit specs Inside Killzone: Shadow Fall

the specs were later upgraded to 8GB GDDR "If You go With 4GB of GDDR5" RAM on PS4, "You Are Done," Randy Pitchford Told Sony - PlayStation LifeStyle

if sony is not already locked in production they can certainly alter their specs, the real question is would cost/price escalate to a point where it would not beneficial to match scorpio's specs

I'm not on the cutting edge now, I wasn't when I purchased my GPU, and I won't be when I upgrade

I'm at 1.9 Tflops on PC right now. 6 would be a huge improvement, and I wouldn't have to play with all the PC nerds

unveiling Scorpio gave microsoft a solid show but also buried their xbox S. the xbox S is clearly the alternative for people not willing to spend the extra money or who don't need high end graphics.

this is the business model they have to go with to succeed if companies are planning to have a fast console cycle. you can't price/push out the casuals.
