Why? I just checked Wikipedia. Teddy Riley didn't produce or write a single track on the "Don't Be Cruel" album.

My prerogative was Teddy. Gene Griffin strong armed him out of the credit. He was Teddys mentor and was something of a Suge of his era. Don't be cruel album was considered a pinnacle of new jack swing, Teddy did the biggest song of the year with Bobby and folks assumed it was all Teddy behind it
