I just checked to see if AP signed with Seattle and they went with Lacy instead?

The issue last year was injuries in the back field but you signed a injury prone RB. I'd rather have Charles or AP split carries with Rawls and you still have Procise for 3rd down. They can still sign Charles since Rawls and Procise are dirt cheap.

I hope Jerry brings him to Dallas. Just pair him with a black QB.

The Saints getting Alex Okafor is one of the low key/most underrated signings of the FA period so far.

Breh really started coming on in the 2nd half of the 2015 season.

Had like 8 sacks in the final 8 games.

Got into some off field shyt coming into last year(evading arrest)

Then got injured....Chandler Jones & Markus Golden started looking like a dynamic duo at OLB

And Okafor was the odd man out.


He's a double digit sack guy waiting to happen

Saints low-key have a lot of good signing/moves for pretty cheap.

Resigned Nick
Cut Byrd
Fired a bunch of the defensive staff and ST
Hired some pretty good position coaches.
Traded disgruntle WR
Going to bring in a top Zone corner.

-We still need a defensive end to complement Cam.
-Probably draft a true replacement for Cooks. Ginn is depth.
-Linebacker situation is hella foggy, but hopefully... Nolan can build something with these pieces.
-I still think our DC is a hack and don't care for his extensive use of cover 2 in his scheme. We field historic bad defenses in zone heavy scheme. I don't see it changing.
- We still need a deadly receiver out of the back field. Our screen game hhasn't been the same with Thomas.

My outlook: Just put out a historical offense as usual and hope the defense isn't historically bad. We win the South.

This might be the end of the road for AP. NO reason to start a new thread since it's not official. But He's a 30 plus running back with an injury history. He's not gonna get the type of money he's probably looking for. MIne as well look out for your health and call it a career.

He's a 32 year old I formation back in a shotgun NFL who can't pass block and is a non threat as a receiver.

I hate this Butler deal already and it has yet to happen. Would rather we keep him at 3.9M this season, tag him next, then if he walks we receive a comp pick in the late 3rd round area. I fail to see the logic in trading him now.

Tag would likely go to Jimmy G so that wouldn't work. Still hate to trade Butler now. A 2nd round pick does nothing for me.

Ya, I am not a fan of Butler leaving. Wish they would just let him play out his tender and take the 3rd round comp pick if he leaves. But it is what it is.

ad is not a shotgun runner. Seattle runs probably 2/3 of their offense out of the gun. ad is not a giod shotgun or pistol runner. that's why him and teddy never meshed well either. ad is also a poor pass blocker and receiver. Seattle likes backs that can do all these things
