From what i read hes only getting 16 mill the first year
Its actually a smart move for team with alot of space
Give front loaded deals so you don't have to worry about cutting the guy 2 years into the deal when the real money starts to kick in
love keeping Branch, hes only 27. hasnt proven himself for a full 16, but with the edge market as is he was getting that elsewhere. why create another need?
massive upgrade over Reiff, who i recall looking solid early in his career then seemed to fall off a cliff

I don't have a problem with it if 1) it's not long term guaranteed money, 2) we keep Alshon, 3) we still draft a developmental QB, 4) it doesn't prohibit us from spending in FA to address our secondary issues
