I gotta decision to make.

The lady said she wanted some earbuds -- specifically Galaxy Buds -- for Christmas and with it being Cyber Monday I figure I may as well knock it on out.

Before I do... I posed this question to friends of mine and one recommended the Creative Outlier Air. Everything I've read suggests that if you don't care about the Samsung name/OS-centric features, go with Creative as they've got the most bang for your buck. Right now they are even running a sale where I could get two pairs for 90 -- may as well treat myself, eh -- as opposed to getting one pair of Galaxy Buds for 80.

What say y'all?

if it was me I would just get the galaxy
if she said them specifically I wouldn't mess with it

I agree. I'm trying to dig with suggestive questions to see if the brand matters that much or did she just say Samsung because that's the phone she has. If so, I'll eat that cost. Either way she's getting some earbuds and some other stuff.

Went HAM today. Haven't bought any serious electronics in 3-4 years but I'm setting up a budget racing rig.

Picked up:
Alienware Ryzen Edition PC - $300 off
35" curved monitor
FGT Lite racing chair
Logitech G29 wheel - $100 off

Should do OK for now. Will probably do more this summer ie additional monitor and steering wheel mods.

Samsung Galaxy. From what I have read, they are top-tier ear buds. Creative Outliers just get you a comparable performance for considerably less $.

Yes but I'm not sure if those will work with the Samsung Galaxy headphones app.

I had airpods and they sukked with my Samsung lol

All the reviews and such I've read they are more than compatible.

I'm gonna see what I can get out of my girl before deciding on a purchase. Way I see it I got about four and a half hours

Yes they are compatible but I have an application on my phone literally called Galaxy wearables which lets you do a lot of things with the Galaxy buds

Yeah ... typically I don't spend more money than what a situation calls for or demands and I never will barring big shyt like vacations/trips. It is what it is. She will get what she wants. Said as much in an earlier post. I want to be sure that's what she wants.

If you have nothing worthwhile to tell me beyond "buy Samsung because I think they are amazing" -- i.e. nothing about tech specs, sound, first-hand use of both products, etc. -- then keep it pushing.

buy the cheap ones keep receipt if she not satisfied return them

I'm not really into gaming like that so I bought the 82" samsung that was on sale at best buy for 1.2k.. pretty happy with my home theater system for now.

Also grabbed some new records and a few ultra 4k blue rays while I shopped tvs.
