They have to be offering him a deal. The thing I don't understand... why trade for Ingram when you are in the Flagg and Ace Baily sweepstakes?
The 1st they gave up is going to be a mid to late first so it's not useless either. I don't get this trade looking at their roster and looking at who's available in the draft.
As others have said may figure by trading for him it gives them the protection of being able to do a S&T if he does leave
In general though I find Ingram to be a weird fit in Toronto
