70 million in dead money. Goff ain’t going nowhereIt’s criminal to have Gibbs back there with a got damn statue. Id go for it all and knock on baltimores door for Lamar. Couple years late but better late than never.

Their coach is brainwashing them into thinking practicing from spring camp on in full pads likes it’s 1985 is a sign of being tough when it’s just being a dumbass when the goal is to play 20+ games in a yearThey got absolutely decimated by injuries again this season. I don't know if it's their practice/training habits, the field turf at Ford Field or just bad luck but it seems like something needs to change.

I'm not sure what the answer is. I do think you need a certain level of physicality in practice to toughen your body for live games. I also think barely playing in preseason and basically going 0-100 in week one is not a good idea.Which is it
People not practing enough is causing injuries or practicing too much is causing injuries
Just seem like no matter what you do these dudes can’t stay healthy
Chiefs practice just as hard, won multiple chips and lost a couple SBs within a decade. It’s not the training, it’s football. You’re gonna have injuries. I’m stunned we got fukked twice in a row but don’t see a solution beyond not drafting injured players. Most of the guys injured this year didn’t have injury histories (Arnold, Reed, Branch, Kerby, etc). They got absolutely decimated by injuries again this season. I agree with all of this and I want to see Holmes show a sense of urgency this offseason. The void years on Goff's deal mean there's no way he has a 70mil cap hit next season. It'll be 30-35mil. Kicking the can down the road at the perfect time (new league TV deal coming). After we roll over this year's remaining cap (20mil) and restructure Goff we'll easily have 50mil in cap space. Possibly more with other restructures and cuts. This assumes Ragnow stays retired. If he tries to come back again that's an 11mil cap hit.
Legit OC hire, good draft with no bullshyt developmental reaches, signing some actual impact players, and we'll be back. I hope we get a complete shytcanning of the AG/Shep defensive scheme but that's unlikely. You can't contain good QBs in the modern era, you have to go after them. And if you give up some rushing yards so be it.
There has to be. Laporta might not be ready for the start of the season depending on what type of back surgery he had. Branch won’t be ready and we don’t have much info on Kerby (although a national NFL source said the injury isn’t career threatening). We just saw what happens when you wait for injured guys to come back (Alim, Hutch, Rodrigo, etc). Doing that again would be insane.I agree with all of this and I want to see Holmes show a sense of urgency this offseason.
They can get out of Kerby deals next year easily and Alim in 2027.Joseph and McNeil will NEVER live up to those contracts and Jamo is iffy too considering our best player (Gibbs), most important to Goff (Laporta) and best defender (Jack) aren’t signed. Brad better figure it out quick

Laporta has to come back healthy before i even think of an extension. Campbell needs to get paid. Best lb in football this year. Lions should let Gibbs play out his contract and franchise him a few times. RBs fall off quickly in NFL and long term contracts for them rarely work out
