Lets be clear. JJ is not good and it's annoying that he's gonna now get lit up over the next few weeks by teams whose specials teams aren't handing him short fields. 17 of the points came on short fields due to special teams lapses or turnovers. I'll give him credit for beating us with that 1st down throw. That was a great throw.

Morton deserves to be shyt on but the bigger issue was special teams. That being said I'm rather concerned that this was the gameplan after a buy. The thing I hate about Morton is that he's from that school of old football guys who work 18 hours a day, watch film all day, come up with all types of ideas yet can't act actually perform on game day. Dude was bragging about working through the bye week while everyone else went home. That's not impressive, it's inefficient. But that's what those Gruden/Belichick/etc type guys were on. And I'm starting to think we got a problem. If you can't handle interior pressure you need to make it easier for your RBs and TEs to block. Instead we made it harder for them to block. Didn't really address the LB blitzes up the middle until late in the third quarter.

And once again...the spamming. You spam LaPorta for the first 5 minutes of the game and then he pretty much disappears until the second half. Or you spam Gibbs on basic runs on 1st down. Same with Monty.

Campbell said Mahogany will be out awhile, and he was seen on crutches in the locker room. Sewell banged up. Decker banged up. Yea…

At least Washington’s defense is slow and old.

No Daniels next week. Commanders probably what this weakened offense needs to bounce back. Morton is a shyt play caller but obviously the oline is the thing keeping the offense grounded this year. Goff doesn’t trust his protection and they are not blowing good defenses back in run game this year to set up play action.

Holmes gonna have to make a move by deadline. Lions are close to missing their championship window if they can’t get it done this year. Holmes needs his win now move. Id trade a top draft pick for another top flight pass rusher to help Hutch. Snd I’d call Titans and see what they want to bring Zeitler back to finish year

:francis:Do something Brad. Philly stay aggressive

I'm not trying to be a downer but I think it's safe to say Brad is playing the long game and he's not a splashy trade guy. The problem is the long game has the team as a good team rather than a Superbowl lock. With Goff at the QB it puts them in a position where if he shyts the bed in the playoffs it's over.

Goff is good enough to be the QB on a team that wins a Superbowl but he's unlikely to be the reason that team does.

The last 2 years this team really blew their chances. As it seems to go downhill now who knows how many more they get.

Id rather go all in and win one superbowl then be a perennial playoff loser because your worried about what the team will be in 5 years. Rams went all in to win their title. Fell off for one year and are already back into contenders

I don't disagree but the GM doesn't seem to think like that. He has confidence in his abilities to find great players in the draft and doesn't seem interested in mortgaging the future for a win now move.

The goal should be to win. The tickets are gonna sell either way. Philly moving like they want to win. Nothing is promised in this league.
