He should do it. He can do some amazing with Detroit's pieces and wait for a better head coaching opportunity to come.
The only job I'd take is the Ravens head coaching job over Detroit OC. The Titans and Browns are messes and the Falcons not sure if they have their QB of the future or not but I'm leaning no. He can pull a Ben Johnson with the Lions and rehab his image on a successful team then wait until a good opening comes.

I agree with all of this unless he believes in Penix. I can't see him wanting to do the QB roller coaster with another mid one though.

Low key, KC could be opening up any year. Andy Reid is about to turn 68. Bungles with Burrow; maybe the Packers with MLF.

It'd be wild if he went to Detroit for a year, then left for GB.

I forgot about the Ravens. You're right that would be #1.
ATL is interesting but risky.

Sheila and Dan gotta go make him the best offer ever

How often does a coach get fired and immediately get another HC job for the next season? That rarely happens. Harbaugh will do it since he has a Super Bowl but McDaniel? I don't think he's getting a head coaching job and I sure as hell don't think he's gonna trick another (old ass) owner with that no energy, charisma-less gimmick. Owners are looking for leaders of men right now.

He should become an OC, put up crazy numbers and then try again when we get back to owners chasing after offensive geniuses whether they're leaders or not. If I was him I'd go to either Philly or Detroit.

So we have to be in the mix alongside Philly and Tampa. Objectively I'd view Philly as the best spot because Hurts is mobile but Detroit has better weapons.

Arthur Smith is the only name that's a pure hell no for me. How he handled Bijan VS how their last OC (who we also interviewed) handled him was night and day. I don't need that safe bullshyt here. I'd go even further and say if we hire Smith you might as well set the clock on Campbell's tenure because that shyt isn't going to work.

Somebody is gonna hire Smith because they struck out on their top picks. That cannot be us. Cannot.

Going from the creativity of Ben Johnson to the stale shyt of Arthur Smith is a wild change :dead:
I'm not sure how he keeps getting jobs, he has shown nothing to prove he knows what he is doing.

Not get embarrassed at home as an overwhelming favorite.

Commanders game was the worst Lions playoff loss of my lifetime and I was watching the 92 NFC title game in tears. I would’ve fired Ben Johnson on the spot if he didn’t leave

A nothing comparison. It anything Lions and 49ers were better parallel
You really gonna sit up here and act like that loss last year was an indicator of how good the team at the time was? They shyt the bed. They were a better team than that game indicated.
