Literally every year he was there lmao you know you can check basketball reference right. Plus John stacked teams were freshman Rick won the championship with upper class men. It’s is much harder to coach freshman to a chip than upper classmenWhen did he have stacked squads like Cal?

I’m not playing go check basketball reference if you don’t believe me. The years cal had the super super stack rosters was only really two years he went to the NCAA championship with both teams. The other years he had freshman guys who while they made the league were just average guys mostly in the league and again they were freshman. As I said no matter what talent it is way harder to coach freshman to a chip than older guys. Even coach K said so many many times.
Pitino had stack squads that even when he left tubby Smith won
Had players like the unforgettables and then had guys tony delk/ jeff sheppard/ antoine walker/ walter mccartty/ mark pope
Jamal Mashburn , Ron Mercer, Derek Anderson, Wayne Turner, nazr Muhammad and this is when guys woild stay a few years

Exactly so really he probably should’ve won more than one chip at Kentucky considering tubby took his team literally the next year and won. But I’m supposed to believe the guy who takes freshman consistently well used to consistently take freshman teams on sweet sixteen or better runs before he got disengaged isn’t just as good or better of a coach
