This gets our vote as not just the best UConn team but is also on the very short list of best teams in women's college basketball history (counting NCAA and AIAW eras).

Honestly I kind of get it once Caleb went down it was pretty much it, even if they beat VCU they would have got killed the next game. Plus UNC pays coaches cheaply, Davis earns a base salary of $1.25 million per year, along with $1.8 million in supplemental compensation for the 2026 contract year. Better to save that buy out money and invest more in NIL.
