Gotta be Johnny Bryant right? Can't be a coincidence that after the report comes out that he's a finalist for Phoenix, we start hearing "Thibs not safe" rumors.
That's the first thing that came to mind for me. It's gotta be a last ditch effort to get Bryant before it's too late.

But I've seen others throw out Jay Wright for obvious reasons, and there had been a Dan Hurley rumor floating around that I didn't take seriously. This happening so quickly really surprised me. I can't wait for some beat writers to give us more information.

One note I'd add is that while everyone talked a lot about the Athletic Article that mentioned players complaining about Karl-Anthony Towns. I was surprised there wasn't more mention of all the players' only meetings they talked about, and how they said it was uncommon for a successful team to have so many in a short span.

This shyt got the site slowed the fukk down…..
I was listening to Ian Begley on Knicks fan TV last night and CP the Franchise was pretty adamant that Michael Malone is not a Knicks HC candidate
Only happens this fast if you're scared his replacement is about to take another job.
I am thinking it might be Bryant. The rumor is he is a finalist for the Sun’s job and the FO knows him. They probably seen any potential behind the seen changes since he left too. I never thought they would fire him, I legit thought they would send him to the FO.

Ari (fan from KFTV) made a good point on twitter, that he felt like all the stories and segments coming out recently was a coordinated attack from Thibs to blame KAT. All the "old media" was dumping on KAT in favor of Thibs while all the "new media" guys were pushing back against it.

This organization playing a dangerous game right now.
Nah bro it was time. Carlisle was stunting on him that last series. If they don’t move Thibs this is actually the safe move.

The next question is do they keep KAT and Mikal or not on either of them. I still think KAT is out, but who knows.

Knowing how this FO has rolled so far, I don't think they would've fired Thibs without having a solid backup in place that we didn't see coming. How many other trades/decisions have they pulled that seemed to come out of nowhere
