Them picking the wrong coach doesn’t mean firing Thibs wasn’t the right decision.
NBA fans support a revolving door of coaches.

It’s not necessarily the right decision.

And yeah pretty clearly picking the wrong coach would be a mistake that would set the franchise back.

There was no backslide with Thibs just improvement every year.

Risk for sure.
It really sounds what killed him was what has been his issue his whole career. Not playing his bench and being slow to make adjustments. It’s not that they got to the ECF it’s that he refused to change on things his employer told him to change.

FO has been super supportive of Thibs, and he refused to meet them half way.
