Rather have Kidd with an offensive coordinator (that he would actually use) than an old head stubborn coach play his team with one hand behind their backs. Kidd is a better defensive coach than thibs too which his thibs calling card. So why am I scared of losing thibs?

I can understand firing Thibs if the logic is 'What got us here, won't get us there'.

These OG shots aren’t happening as often as you think. It inevitably happens off break downs while you yell at your TV in your coaching chair.

The Knicks really only iso a lot because they have JB most of those isos are him.

We acquired Karl towns for him to have his lowest 3pt rate and lowest epm since thibs last coached him. And that’s merely coincidence.
Didn’t waste a single year here when I watched Alec Burks start over Immanuel quickley for an entire season we weren’t making the playoffs in. Didn’t waste a year when I watched him triple team a hobbled jimmy butler to leave shooters open.
Didn’t waste a year here when every year we lost in the playoffs it was to a lower seed. Thibs has coached in 13 series and lost 7 of them as the higher seed. 70 old ain’t the man you think he is

If we hired Johnnie Bryant or some shyt I wouldn’t care…I’d be weary of a guy whose never led a team whose younger than PJ Tucker but at least you’d see a commitment to fresh blood and maybe some offensive innovation

But no the rumors are tied to other veteran retread coaches who aren’t even as good as Thibs

shyt is politics. I don’t like making a change for the sake of making one or because emotions are running high. In our process we were right on track.

Lmao Rick Carlisle would have us scoring 140 on that pacers defensive personnel, consistently having exploited poor defensive rotations and communication. (Implemented by thibs).
They’re shooting high percentages while also having (by far) the best shot quality of teams in the playoffs. They generate open looks more than any team in the league besides the Cavs. And they do this with haliburton off the court. This is systemic. If we prioritized shot quality over rebounding we would pummel teams off sheer talent.
They scored in transition repeatedly cause we had poorly balanced floor (coaching)

Knicks fans are dumb or don’t watch other teams and use zero context numbers to bolster fruitless arguments in defense of a coach who has flamed out the same way he did in 2 other destinations.
Saying Kidd leads the league in isolations while he coached a team that employed 2 of the greatest isolation players the game has ever seen is a either a willful blindspot or you just watch the game and don’t know what’s going on. It’s a difference when you run iso and remove half measure players like Josh hart and precious achiuwa. Kid ran ISOs with 4 spacers on the court or 3 spacers and a lob threat. He didn’t force feed non spacing/non centers to sabotage spacing in attempts to “rebound”. When they lost Luka they ran all types of off ball action to get Klay going, used AD as initiator with inverted screens from guards. Kidd ironically is a better defensive coach than thibs especially in a playoff context. Rather have him go through a plethora of lineups and different defenses over a course of a 82 game season than whatever the fukk thibs did then the ultimately try to fix out of desperation in a conference finals.
In short, yal nikkas are fukking crazy.

I was reading that his teams defend the three really well. And he is very willing to adapt on the fly in playoffs games.
