There's a good chance Yabu starts after a while. He's an amazing fit with Brunson/Bridges/OG/and KAT. He's a great screener, stretches the floor reliably, will crash the glass so KAT can spend more time on the perimeter; he'll be used kiind of like how Randle would be used if he was still here. I'm probably getting ahead of myself but there are a few more cons to starting either Hart, Mcbride, or Mitch imo.
I think he’ll be used more like Josh was. Randle was an initiator. I don’t see that on Yabu’s game.

Phil Handy is a possible name for assistant. The Mavs are angling for him too.

I don’t know exactly when he got fired.

Point is he plays the starters heavy minutes and he wasn’t playing Keon Ellis much.
I honestly think the front office was involved in the Keon Ellis playing time situation so they could try to rehabilitate Kevin Huerter's trade value. Doesn't completely absolve Mike Brown and him giving Keon DNPs.

Doubt that. Kings had big aspirations to start the year.

I read an article that stated Brown is obsessive about the little things and Ellis plays a risky defensive style (he’s a strong defensive playmaker) so that could have led to lack of trust and benchings. Additionally there was depth at that position with vets so the young guy seemed to be the odd man out. Unfortunately that’s the politics of the league.

He ain't wrong at all tho. Mike Brown is gonna lean on his starters. Might not be as extreme as Thibs but they're still gonna play big minutes. I mentioned this in here before the hiring was officially announced.
As long as Hart is not a starter it's all gravy. The best lineup should be Hart to the bench and sliding Bridges to the 2, OG to the 3 , Kat at the 4 , Mitch at 5, that way the defensive weaknesses get covered of Kat and Brunson with defenders that can switch.

Mitch just got to stay healthy and work on them FT's . Hart, Deuce, Yabu, Clarkson, Porti is also a very decent bench. And we still got 2 spots left on the roster with one rookie exception and a vet min so we'll see what :leon: cooks.
