50 cent was bigger at his peak than any peak jigga ever had... but over there whole careers i think they are pretty close, i think 50 has sold more records but i am not sure... but jigga made money before 50, and he made money after 50... and in that long run he probably has made more money than 50 ever has... and the big difference is jiggas brand is as powerful as ever, 50s isnt strong anymore...

neither really gives a damn about selling another 1 million records on their next release anymore, being remembered for ill verses, or anything like that... they care about having an influential brand that can be used to spring board them into profitable ventures... jigga maybe in his whole career made 10% of his income from record sales and tours.... he made the lions share from marketing clothes and liquor using that brand, he made other money from labels wanting to leverage his long lasting brand to rejuvenate their other artists.. 50 Cent is similar he made the vast majority of his money from an ownership position in a beverage company that he was able to aquire because his brand was so strong...

If 50 cent was 2003 popular again SMS Audio would be doing what Beats is doing... half a billion... more branding and cross marketing oppurtunities that could turn into ownership stakes would be on the table... thats what is behind 50s animal ambition not selling records...

First of all, I don’t dislike 50. I think the game NEEDS him…..just NOT as a rapper. The game needs 50 as the new Russell Simmons type. He got the bread and the clout to pull that off, I been sayin’ that since the days of :hamster:

Secondly, 50 stans don’t know how to be objective. They’re so quick to defend him against PERCEIVED attacks that they lose credibility in their own arguments. The reality is, NOBODY is checking for new music from him. Sorry.

Thirdly, why would I find enjoyment in hearing something I don’t want to hear? Just so I can be like :umad: at 50 Cent or his fans? :stopitslime: How petty and juvenile is THAT?

Ive found 50's street films to be very entertaining. Even gun kept me entertained. Some iffy acting in some scenes but overall, i was EnterTAINED. 50 really told us how guns get from the higher ups to the guy on the street through backdoor dealings with pawn shop owners.
