The fact that Luna already has a comparable if not better library than Stadia despite the one year lead for Google is :hhh:

As someone who actually owns a Stadia setup they bout to get their wigs pushed back unless they get super aggressive on all fronts which I find unlikely at this point:patrice:
Google don't give a fukk bro
:mjlol:

They got so many projects and so much bread, it feels like they just be fukking around with everything. They have all of our data, yet they are absolutely trash at advertising and just simple awareness for their products. They have dope shyt, but the casual consumer has no idea about it.

I hope they buy EA, Take-2, Sega, and Capcom...

And I hope that Google buys UbiSoft, Valve and Konami...
:yeshrug:

Amazon kinda has an advantage in the studio relationship department because of Twitch. So I could see them being able to easily get studios to the table for some type of licensing negotiaion.

Google doesn't have those types of relationships and it doesn't feel like they are as committed to Stadia, which if I'm a decent sized studio, I weigh whether the development work is worth it for a product that will either massively change early in its lifecycle or no longer exist.

Google is still my favorite of the big tech giants but they are notorious for abandoning products which are essentially production grade experiments.

With Microsoft's luck, Amazon will produce a piece of hardware that will run some form of Android/ChromeOS. Then a couple years later Google and Amazon will team up and release the Fire Stadia/Stadia Fire :heh:

Amazon could be a problem, but won't.

Why? They have no hardware.

They literally could have been a new player in the game with hardware.

Now depending on how aggressive they are with buying up talent then you could see something.

But the last gaming company I recall Amazon buying was double helix and they haven't done anything with me yet.

You aren't going to making a n this gaming industry without a piece of hardware

if they put it on fire OS, which they absolutely will if they are not retarded, people already have the hardware

meh, i think microsoft is going about this in the correct way.

trying to get people to abandon their consoles isn't gonna work, google already proved that so I don't know why amazon thinks it will be any different for them. Google even got timed exclusives.

The best way to go about this is to get people into the cloud eco system through the hardware you already have. Once people have completely adopted the idea of not owning physical media and just temporarily playing stuff is when you can start to ween them off specific hardware.

...And this is still a long play, strictly cloud gaming won't be a thing in this decade.

I'll try it out to see how it works but ultimately I prefer to have a local machine with this as a supplement, not meal replacement. You don't live off meal replacement powders, you supplement it.
