Battery larger than N7

I dropped my 2013 N7 last October and been using my 2012 N7 so I've been thinking about copping this one for a while. I've just been on nexus for so long. Hard to give it up.:wow:

Not bad. That battery though. I'll do some research on it.

This is how Android phones get updated (infographic)

by Alex Colon DEC. 27, 2013 - 12:28 PM PST

SUMMARY: Want to know why it’s taking so long for KitKat to come to your phone? HTC has made an infographic that sheds light on the update process, and it isn’t as simple as you think.

android-update-process.png

Ever wonder why it seems to take most phones forever to receive a new version of Android? It turns out the update process is a lot more complicated than you’d imagine. HTC has created a fantastic infographic, detailing the anatomy of an Android update, tracing the steps from a pre-announcement PDK all the way to your phone.

According to HTC, there are no fewer than 12 steps necessary to bring an Android update to a carrier-based device. And though it isn’t mentioned in the graphic, a number of those steps involve waiting for approval from the carrier, which makes a lengthy process even longer. You can get your software faster with a Google Play edition device, or an unlocked or developer phone, but even those updates require seven or eight steps respectively.

Seeing this doesn’t take any of the frustration of waiting months for an update, but it does help to put things into perspective. And kudos to HTC for being relatively transparent about the update process, at least as far as its HTC One Series of phones are concerned. The OEM shows which phone are currently running Android 4.4 KitKat, and where other phones are in the update process. It won’t make those updates come any faster, but at least you’ll know you’re not waiting in vain.

I'm looking for a new tablet. Bigger than my ole ass nexus 7.

Needs:
lightweight
sd card storage
good audio
battery life

I'll basically be using it for when I'm sitting in bed browsing the net and shyt. \

Here's what I've been looking at:

Galaxy Note 8.1
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
Asus memopad
Sony Xperia Z - This seems to have a few problems though

What are your thoughts? Idon't need all the bells and whistles just something competent.

Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition is godly breh. Honestly, I use it way more than I thought I would.

get off apples nuts. apple emojis is trash

Coming from the former iphone flag waving bum? :heh: Stick to posting articles without linking sources breh.

The Android emoji are tacky and :trash:for the most part. It's much better to have some standards across platforms when it comes to simple shyt like this. Why be different for the sake of being different? It would have been better to offer the standard emoji and then have the Android emoji as an option.

This. I brought one and it had me like
What made them put that shyt out? Super garbage

:wtf: What is the point of Samsung having 2 different Galaxy Tablet lines with the Tab and Note series?

According to Wikipedia, The Note series has high-end specs, while the Tab series has mid-range specs. Is the "Note" series supposed to Samsung's high-end tablets series, while the "Tab" series is Samsung's mid-range tablet series?

Off-contract Moto G might be coming to Verizon for $100

Motorola's Moto G smartphone might soon be available to Verizon customers for as low as $100 — without a contract. Google+ user Josue Joseph, who claims to work at Best Buy Mobile, posted a picture of the Android phone in Verizon retail packaging. Joseph later commenting that it "looks like it's going for $100."

The Verizon-branded packaging suggests the phone will be sold without an annual contract, but Josue claims users will still need to choose one of Verizon's data plans, as the phone "will not work with anything else." Those plans, the packaging implies, will include unlimited talk and text options.

The Moto G currently retails for $179 in the US and, even at that price, had a lot to recommend it against its peers. There's no word yet on a street date for the $100 Verizon version, but if the leaked information turns out to be accurate, it would further solidify the Moto G's position as one of the very best budget smartphones available.

I'm guessing they was trying to get over in first time buyers. I brought it under the assumption that it was the "note series" with the pen which got great reviews, but once I actually played with it I noticed it had crazy lag and was just downright horrible. I should have read the spec which had only like 1 gig of ram but I had extra money and was like what the hell. I took it back after 1 day Alvord it at all cost
